Five of us had dinner here on a Friday evening. Our table was ready right at 7 pm, the time of our reservation. Really appreciated the variety of menu items. Everything was excellent! The Pad Thai, Peking Duck, and Blacked Ahi Tuna Salad were especially good. The manager Neil stopped at each table checking service. Overall a great meal! We... More

Wish I could give 0. And it is really too bad because the Sushi is actually good. My boyfriend and I like to order from Ping at least once per month and the past time we ordered everything got messed up. It would have been fine except the Manager, Beck, was a complete jerk. The girl who took my order... More

We've enjoyed Charlie Chiang restaurants for 25 years, but now fewer in number, and the remaining Ping's just keeps getting worse. Last time we had Mongolian Onions (called Mongolian Beef on the menu; the beef was scarce tough and tasteless. We also ordered Creamy Sesame Shrimp, used to be huge shrimp, but now they do smaller shrimp wrapped in oversized... More

We had the opportunity to sit outside and enjoy a beautiful evening and enjoy an excellent Chinese Dinner. Very fast service and very good food. Servers were excellent. We were not rushed even though the restaurant was extremelly busy.

The food here was either incredibly salty or full of sugars. Chinese cooking is not like this. The salty dishes help push beverage sales, and it is evident from the waitstaff pushing drinks. There were four of us visiting, and none of us ordered an appetizer or enter which was any better than the above description. The only reason this... More

Food was great. We had an early dinner here - so crowds were light. Only complaint was that our waitress spent a lot of time at tables of folks who were obviously regulars. We had a hard time just getting drinks refilled. Other than that dinner was great.

This was our first visit and we were very happy with the food. We ordered steamed chicken gyoza for appetizer (one of the happy hour specials), it was delicious. The Singapore noodles with chicken and the Mongolian beef were equally good. What we loved the most was a beef and melted cheese appetizer wrapped in a scallion pancake (can't remember... More

I have been going to Charlie Chiang's in Shirlington for years. At some point in the past several years things have gone downhill. For years the atmosphere (which is excellent) was second only to the phenomenal food. Now it is just, simply, not good.

We can't speak to the dine-in experience but can say with confidence to avoid the delivery experience. Simply put...not tasty food. Delivery was timely, correct, and relatively warm but just "not good". Too many choices out there that offer this cuisine to settle for Charlie Chiang's.

I was happy to find a parking spot after 15 minutes. This area is so packed. But I got seated right away outside. Thought that was a good spot except the massive dog behind me dipped his tail in the water bowl that apparently all the restaurants provide. Then he got excited by another dog and I got a shower....
