Good food , but a bit on the slowish side of busy

Went there with a friend on a Saturday night and the place was really , really busy. Had a reservation and did straight get a table. Was during restaurant week , which might have contributed to it being full. Ordered a tuna started which was delicious but missing out a bit on spices. As this is a... read more

Interesting menu and quality of servings reasonable but much, much too loud. Meant that the evening was not relaxing at all. Staff were pleasant and professional but for me that did not make up for the noise level. I would suggest finding somewhere else.

We love this place. Excellent mussels; great steak frites. Wonderful beer and wine. Also a great neighborhood place. Closest thing to a French bistro in this area. Always fun and good.

I always find this place busy during happy hours visit and it goes to show how popular this place is. During summer outside seating is available. Convenient to the Clarendon Metro and one of my favorites to watch sporting events on the TV. The crowd is pretty good and usually in the early 30's to early 40's.

We had a great time, but I think mostly because we were with great friends. Parking is a bear but there is an underground lot around the corner. We got there before 7 so we were offered happy hour menu at the bar, but no happy hour in the restaurant part. So we chose a high top in the window... More

I chose this restaurant because the online menu had a salad I adore. When I got there, the salad was no longer on the menu but our kind waiter offered to see if the chef had the ingredients to make it. Lucky me because he did! I was really impressed with that service. Everyone else enjoyed their food. The bratwurst... More

Visiting from DC with husband and kids. The creperie we were heading to was closed for holiday so we walked around and found Lyon Hall. It was my sons 9th birthday so he chose it when he saw mussels on the menu (of which they had 4 varieties for lunch). A very nice selection of French German fare. The pork... More

Have been anxious to try this spot for their mussels and I have to say they were some of the very best I've ever had. White wine and cream sauce. ENORMOUS portion. We also had the duck pate that you stir the top layer of fat in. Decadent. Really great bread. Excellent service at lunch. Not the cheapest around, but... More

Every part of the meal was very tasty. The service was great and a valet is available in case street parking is not available, The only negative is that the main dining area is adjacent to the bar so the noise level can be "energetic".

The food is to die for! Our server was nice and helpful, and we ate outside, it was pleasant. Lyon Hall is award winning, and definitely worth a visit.
