Im not a huge fish and chips person. But there are just a few times a year when I get a craving. They do a decent job too. For me, splitting it with another person is enough and washing it down with a beer makes for a great lunch. Low key, relaxed, small pub feel

We haven't lived in the area for years, but whenever we are here, this is one stop we have to make. The fish is nice and flakey and the chips are not too bad either.....paired with a Guinness and this girl is a happy camper.

Eamonn's was a total spur-of-the-moment choice, but it was a great one. Truly, this was the best fish and chips meal I've had in ages. The fish was hot, flaky, moist, and delicious within crisp, light batter. The chips (fries to Americans) were hot and fresh, just on the edge between crispy and soft without being greasy at all. The... More

Anytime im in the area I always make sure I hit this place up. In addition to great fish and chips, they have all sorts of goodies like soda and chocolate from Ireland and the UK. They have a bevy of different sauces for dipping.

I've eaten fish & chips all over the world, and my meal at Eamonn's was really fantastic. Delicate and crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked in the middle. Ideal! I should have ordered a double portion. The chips were a bit disappointing though. There wasn't much special—they tasted disappointingly ordinary compared to the fish. Overall, though, I was surprised... More

I was hopeful to have some fabulous fish and chips. My hopes were squashed. The fish had a funny taste. The batter was very dark on the outside, soggy on the inside, and very, very greasy. The Chips were alright, but were also greasy. I was surprised at the high cost for the amount of food and the nickel and... More

Eamonn's was ok. Certainly nothing special. Fish was greasy...yeah I know it's a Dublin f&c shop. But still. Couldn't tell the difference between the cod and the fish of the day (catfish apparently). If you're hankering for a taste of the home country this might hit the spot. If you're after really decent f&c keep looking.

As far as fish and chips go, this place is top notch. For a quick lunch or dinner in Old Town, this place is not to be missed.

We ate here and found many locals also do to. Good fish and chips. They had many different dipping sauces to try.
