Chicken fried steak was the best I ever had. You must order the bread basket! Fresh baked rolls and corn bread with apple butter and pepper peach jam was amazing. Will come here 1st, the next time I'm nearby and you should too!

Went there with my adult daughter, young son and dog for a farewell dinner. We ordered fried pickles and fried green tomatoes for apps. I had the tuna and my daughter had the trout. My son had the child's burger, and all was fabulous. The accompanying sides were out of this world. Tge service was wonderful. They gave my dog... More

A wonderful dinner. Service was fantastic and food was great. We tried the sausage, shrimp and grits, crab dip, and a couple salads and it was all great. We would definitely go back on another trip!

Very busy restaurant with a separate bar area. Very good service with friendly waiting staff. Great choices of Southern food on the menu so make sure you are hungry! Try the meatloaf or the pot roast and the fried green tomatoes.

Arrived at 10.30 on Friday night July 1,2016 to be greeted by the server that states "the kitchen closes in 30 minutes so you'll have to hurry". Not welcome to Southside we are so glad you stopped in. The server(she) was rude to say the least though the food was good. Not a bad place to go but that server... More

My husband and I were excited to try this restaurant after seeing their menu online. Their portion sizes are generous and the service was excellent, but the food was under-seasoned. My husband and I had to add lots of salt, pepper, and remoulade sauce to our dishes.

After a late morning walk, we were ready for lunch and tried a place new to us, the Southside 815. It specializes in southern cooking, pulled pork, po boys, and Cajun dishes. This restaurant is mostly patronized by the locals being about six blocks away from King Street, Old Town’s main drag, off the tourist track. I opted for a... More

We had the dinner special with steak and shrimp ($22 pictured), the tuna and shrimp salad, and catfish. Everything was delicious and had great service on the patio. We will be back for lunch even though we are only in DC for 4 days. It was that good!!
