Local friends brought us here for dinner. Really liked the cozy atmosphere and lack of a table wait. The menu is extensive. We started with a combination appetizer platter. Falafel was my favorite part. Hummus was good as well. The waiter recommended that we get a mixed grill and combination platter to be able to try everything. I appreciated the... More

There seem to be many great dining choices in Alexandria, but we are glad we chose The Pita House for our only evening there. The restaurant is pleasantly appointed and quiet (even though mostly full); the service was attentive; and prices very reasonable. Best of all was the food. We both had the sampler platters (choice of 3 or 5... More

The food in the place is outstanding. We had a cheese appetizer special I do not remember the name but was so good we finished it up so fast. The 3 sample of Tabbouleh, Hummus and Tzatziki was great as well. I was some kabobs my partner the labs kabob and my friend the soup of the day. Everything was... More

Hubby and I have been stopping for Take Away from Pita House, hitting it pretty hard in the past six months or so. We've gotten to the time of year that we really like to get Take Away and go home to slippers and TV. Pita House fills the bill nicely. We tend to go for the chicken kabobs, with... More

My wife and I went here for lunch while strolling around Old Town Alexandria. The Lebanese style food was well prepared and the French fries especially were excellent. They also have beer and wine from Lebanon. Service was prompt and friendly. My wife tries to eat gluten free and they were very accommodating about making what had been a sandwich... More

Excellent food and very affordable! The waiters are unobtrusive, but attentive, and the atmosphere is peaceful. Overall a delightful place.

Avoid this place if you want to have a nice dining experience in Old Town. Service was horrible- we were seated close to the kitchen in an almost empty dining room on a Saturday night. There was obviously a lot of tension and discourse among the staff at this establishment. We were subjected to the arguments between the servers and... More

This was a hidden gem. We really liked this food. The artichoke hearts for an appetizer were just wonderful. Of course I had a pita for main course and it was great. The special type of souce made it different. I really liked it. It is nice to try something different. Most of us don't eat lebanese food every day!

There isn't much on the menu I haven't tried, and it's all delicious! I love the Lebneh for a starter. The salads are awesome, too. The shawarma is never a wrong choice, and the rice pudding is my favorite dessert. Highly recommended.
