My boyfriend and I have gone to The Wharf twice in the past two months. The reason is that he really likes it but I personally think it is just okay. The first time we went I had the shrimp poboy which I was not...More

Everything about the restaurant was top notch. My husband and I both had the crab cakes which were to die for.

We have been patronizing this restaurant for at least ten years. They have never let us down. Great food, great atmosphere, and great service. They have been able to accommodate our large family - usually eight to ten of us - and we can even...More

We've been going to the Wharf for a decade. It's an excellent restaurant with a good selection of steaks, fish and crab dishes. The service is exceptional every time. The crab cakes are as good as anywhere in the region. The wine selection is good...More

The lobster here is fantastic and perfectly cooked, kind of rare because a lot of places overcook it.

We went as two couples and were seated upstairs. Attentive service, decent (but overpriced) wine selection, and reasonable beer selection. The food was delicious. I strongly recommend the Triple Norfolk combination - lots of crab, lobster and shrimp. The crab cakes were a hit also....More

We went to this with the group of six on a recommendation from a friend. We were seated promptly with the reservation and drinks were delivered quickly. Unfortunately there were several large groups in the restaurant and that really slowed down the service. We waited...More

We enjoyed our dinner here. The food was good, as was the service. Not what I would call a "warm" place, but I would eat there again.

I tried to write a review the day after we ate here but it seems this negative review was erased....but because of my horrible experience I figured I would re write it! And see if this one is erased... I'll make it short and simple....More

The era of our founding father's comes alive as you dine by candlelight at Gatsby's. Great period conversation from a man who you have to admire for his eloquent verbiage and gift of casual gab. Good food and great micro ale. Worth the experience for...More

You would need to call ahead for a group that large. As for timing 30 in DC is cutting it close too many things are going on and it's bound to delay your trip. There is no parking at the restaurant, but there is street... More

Description
History has been written inside the walls of the Wharf, with its 1790's style architecture featuring original wood columns and beams that are charred black from a Civil War fire. Since 1971, satisfied diners have been heading to The Wharf in Old Town for whole Maine lobster, local soft shell crabs and prime steaks and chops. The restaurant has recently been renovated and remodeled and the menu updated to include many contemporary seafood items along with their traditional Chesapeake Bay creations. Our 2nd floor Dining Room is perfect for Banquets and Private Parties. Can seat up to 60 people.
