I had a nice dinner here. Good salmon. Nice wine selection. The lump crab cakes are good, but not great, and are overpriced. Only one comes with an appetizer order. Overall good, not great.

I dined here with friends who recommended this restaurant for seafood. We were not disappointed and enjoyed an excellent meal. One starter of soft shell mussels to share was more than adequate. The area abounds with good places to eat but if in the area it's well worth a visit
Went for a dinner with a friend while attending a workshop in Alexandria. While waiting for the dinner, they brought some French bread which was hard through and through, not good. I had scallops and they were cooked perfect. Friend had cat fish and was busy picking out the bones from the fillet. He wasn't too happy. I didn't see... More
We didn't have reservations but were promptly seated on a Friday night. The she crab soup is amazing. We had crap cakes steak and salmon and all were delicious. For some reason our server brought us the white chocolate raspberry bread pudding which we loved.
I had to have the special eggs Benedict with crab cakes. It was totally decadent and completely fabulous. My husband had the crab sandwich which was equally good but not as decadent. Nice local brews. Not cheap, but good location for people watching.
We enjoyed a great meal at the Wharf Restaurant. Make a reservation...weekends get busy. Fish sampler dish was good...ample lobster, crab, and shrimp. Wine selection...especially whites was good. Our server was pleasant and responsive.
The best features of this restaurant are the central location in Old Alexandria and the attentive staff. The food is really a 2 at best, considering the high price. We ordered a round of drinks and could have ordered our meal at the same time but fortunately were not ready. When the... More
We had a nice dinner with cocktails. The crab cakes were very tasty and the fish special was cooked just right and well flavored. We were so full we had to pass on dessert!
