I enjoy the crab imperial and jumbo fried shrimp when I'm in the area and desire seafood. I sometimes have to seasoned my food from this establishment but that's not an issue if the seafood is good quality and fresh.

Dined solo for lunch on a Sunday. Was in "crabby" mood, so ordered bowl of She Crab soup and a crab cake sandwich. Both were stellar. Soup had a pleasant spicy punch, without blanketing the rich crab flavor (lots of finely textured crabmeat in soup). The crab cake was nearly all crab, and a good size-about a hockey puck. Fries... Found this place on TripAdvisor and went for dinner on a Saturday night. Was seated right away and service began the moment we sat down. Clam chowder is 5 stars! Creamy with big chunks of clams and potatoes and the perfect temp I had the fish and chips, amazing!! Not greasy. This is a must visit!!
I just had to have crab cakes when traveling to Alexandria and I wasn't disappointed in the ones I got at Wharf restaurant. My husband also really enjoyed his meal of Gulf shrimp. The salads were super fresh with tasty dressings. You can tell that they take great pride in preparing good food. It was really a cute place and... More
We reserved a table for our anniversary but when we arrived they gave our table away- what was the sense of making a reservation and also stating that it was our anniversary? Service was slow with only one waiter for the entire upstairs. Food was limited and not very good but as with most restaurants on King Street they have... More
We loved the neighborhood where this restaurant is located and the food was excellent. Easy to get to and we'll go there again when we return next year.
Highly recommend the crabcakes! The were nice sized, with lumps of crab, nicely browned. They come with one side, I chose garlic mashed potatoes which was good and an extra side of cole slaw which was also good (especially because it was light on mayonnaise). My husband had blue fin tuna which he said was quote good and a baked... More
My husband and I where in town to celebrate our 35th anniversary and a representative at a hotel suggested we eat at The Wharf. It was our first time here and our first time in town. We dined out doors on the patio area they have available in the front of the restaurant. The restaurant manager greeted us with happy... More
Visited this restaurant on our recent trip to Alexandria on a friend's recommendation. We sat upstairs; nice, quiet atmosphere. We started out with the crab and shrimp fritters for a appetizer which was delicious. I had crab cakes which they listed as a house specialty and I can see why - lots of premium lump crab, very little filler, no... More
