one of the best meals I've eaten. The family had the 5 course tasting menu and from the the first little bite to the dessert It was wonderful. The service was great too. with water and bread always on the table, and descriptions of each item when we received them. If I wanted to be really picky, the "cheese intermesso"... More

We ate there this evening, coming in without a reservation. The wait was about ten minutes. All of the staff are cheerful, friendly and helpful. The place is tastefully decorated, and there is a lot of fabric which helps keep the noise down. I for one do NOT find noise exciting. Conversation was very easy. My wife had the Royal... More

We dined today for a late lunch at Restaurant Eve and couldn't have been more impressed with this lovely place. We took a special friend and all 3 of us enjoyed a variety of amazing menu items. For starters the mussels and steak tartare were fabulous! For our main courses the bass and fish stew were standouts. We don't usually... More

For a more pocket friendly experience, you can spend $15 on a choose two lunch. It'll be a light lunch, but it'll be excellent.

Liking the new menu and Asian themes. Service was a bit off when we got there....the canapés (creamy quail egg, salmon mousse, etc.) were dropped with no explanation until we asked for one...sometimes the group (appeared to have a new guy) of servers was not in line. The folks were nice, welcoming, knowledgeable and the food was great. Terrine of... More

First, the service here is impeccable and Todd Thrasher and Chef Armstrong outdo themselves when it comes to this gem in the DMV area. The tasting menu is exquisite and the cocktails as well as the wine selection is amazing. I've been going here for years and I enjoy every single visit. I love bringing friends here especially out of... More

Some out of town guests wanted to treat us for dinner and simply said, "Lead us to the best restaurant in Old Town." Restaurant Eve had always been our favorite but it had been a while. Nothing changed in the interim. Still old-world service and fine cuisine in a charming location.

I have been to Restaurant Eve Barfor lunch on a regular basis and have never been disappointed. Their 2 course lunch for $14 is a supreme bargain with great choices and an ever changing menu of specials offering the choice of a soup or salad or sandwich. All are extremely tasty, well executed and appetizing, Wicked desserts too. Val, the... More

While the rest of the restaurant is pricey the best deal, hands down, any place is the bar area for lunch M-F. 3 courses of food that you can't make at home or find anywhere. The chef doesn't hold back the spices and makes combinations that you would never think of. The desserts are exceptional. Plan to spend about 2... More

Description
Restaurant Eve has one intention: to bring everything together in perfect harmony-ingredients, cooking techniques, presentation, and that ephemeral, indescribable characteristic that we call soulfulness. We purchase from farms that share our values of quality and sustainability, and showcase the best hand-fed, farm-raised, organically grown bounty Virginia and the surrounding countryside have to offer. Herbs and fruits are gathered from our own garden and everything on our menu has a story, every ingredient is special. From the various offerings of house-made products (which include 7-9 various breads baked daily and artisanal cheeses); to the roster of craft cocktails, by cocktail authority Todd Thrasher; to our carefully chosen ingredients, everything signals a seriousness and reverence for the farmers, crafters, and all the culinary professionals who wish to bring you beautiful food. Restaurant Eve, named after the husband and wife duo's first child, is located in Old Town, Alexandria, listed by many travel sites as one of the most romantic towns in America, 10 minutes from Washington DC, Restaurant Eve is housed in a late 1800's historic warehouse that has been converted into a charming and sophisticated destination. The cobblestone path leading to the restaurant's entrance is lined with candles that set the tone of what is to come. Inside, the space is simultaneously stylish, cozy and refined-a place where special occasions are fondly remembered.
