Came in for a bathroom stop as all other spots are closed inside. This place allowed me to use the bathroom and were friendly. So I bought a beer to go. Friendly staff. Decent prices for drinks. I would come back to try the food...and drink more.More

We ate here as DC and surrounding areas were implementing the restaurant shut down (Covid-19); As such, we were thrilled to find a place still serving. They took the health restrictions seriously (wiping down the table, moving chairs apart, etc.). The food was very good...(fish and chips, and crab cake sandwich). The staff were friendly, the owner came out and chatted for a bit. This is a good place to stop in for a quick bite and or beer. I would visit this restaurant again!More

Bad service, cold bad food. Took forever to get served drinks and food, and almost an hour to get the check which was wrong three times. Don't bother going here.

We ate at this pub after the wonderful President's Day parade. We got a table in the bar immediately and the service was friendly. I had the fish and chips and it was nothing special - average batter with a mountain of shoestring fries. She...had the salmon salad which was much better and served over spinach with feta but had a few scant pecans and too much dressing. Great beer selection so if you're looking for beer and pub grub this fits the bill. The tab came to $51 for one beer and two lunches.More

I visited this establishment one evening with a group of seven other business companions and we all had a great dining experience. Each of us had something different from the dinner menu and there were no complaints. The bar and dining rooms are in an...old restored building that really inspires the feeling of a well visited neighborhood restaurant and tavern. Good food, good drinks, and good fun!More

You don't often find a comfy place where maybe nobody knows your name, but it still feels familiar anyway. Crab cake sandwich is a 10. Large, lump meat, grilled on a bun. Perfectly done. Great service.

I used to live in Alexandria and this little gem was always my favorite. Well, I moved down to Florida 11 years ago and came back to visit this past weekend with my wife. Bruce was at the bar which he has tended here for...33 years. Not only did he greet us, but he said to me “where have you been”. That my friend is amazing service. He was always busy but he took time to explain the specials and we opted for his recommendation of the rib appetizer. It was simply amazing. The food, drinks and conversation was second to none. Thank you for making our regular day in town special!More

I didn’t see any in there but the Old Town seems to be very dog friendly as there were plenty at the local restaurants and cafes
