We went here with some old friends and our middle school daughter while visiting over spring break. The Colonial era atmosphere, period dressed staff and authentic late 1700 dishes were a great compliment to our D.C. area visit. The building itself is rich with history...More

Gadsby's is one of the best surprises in Alexandria. It is comfortable. The food is good. It's prices are higher than one would expect, but, hey, Alexandria is (forgive me) Puff'n'Stuff.

A throw back into time with floor over 200 years old. A part of history. Food was good and service was even better. I had the chicken pot pie. It was savory and delicious. The french onion soup was also tasty.

We had reservations for eight on here little bit early and they weren't able to take us until very close to 8 o'clock. The place didn't look busy but apparently there was a large party in the back. Wait staff seemed very busy and not...More

Do they have...a poor decision making skills, a management team who lies about adjusting your bill: yes they do! Is the food good yes. Do they actually honor reservations made on Open Table/Trip advisor: not really.
