Delicious food and friendly warm service. French croissants and baguettes, charcuterie, the best brunch on this side of the pond. Creative and tasty specials. Happy bellies and happy dogs who get the treats!

We had a terrific dining experience here. The ambience was charming. Our waiter Medir and the entire wait staff could not have been better. The food was excellent- I had the French clam chowder and Dover Sole and my wife had the onion soup and...halibut. Both the soups and main dishes were delicious;we cross-sampled as we always do. We ordered the Grand Marnier soufflé for dessert that was perfect ; it’s not easy to find a place that will make soufflés, so this was a special treat. Our meal was enhanced by a delightful wine from their well-chosen cellar. A superb fine dining experience. We look forward to our next visit.More

I’ve only been here twice, once during the summer re-emergence from pandemic (hah!), eating indoors, the other time last weekend eating on the very cozy porch. I wish I lived closer. My dining companions had veal, short ribs, and lamb rack, and I had venison....Our plates were scraped clean. I’m not big into dessert but the baked choux was irresistible. My only teeny-weeny gripe is that when I made reservations, I was asked if it was a special occasion, and I said Yes, two birthdays. I guess that got lost in communication but understandable. If they do a Cheesecake Factory kinda thing, my friends would’ve been embarrassed. My birthday is coming up (hint, y’all).More

We called in for dinner (5.30pm) whilst on a cycle ride around Alexandria. Having previously visited this wonderful cafe on numerous occasions for brunch and coffee, we were very much looking forward to enjoying our evening meal. The service was friendly and prompt, with a...well versed server explaining the vast menu. This is the point at which we should have ordered drinks and left. We didn’t and suffered the consequences. Three of us ordered Mussels with Chorizo, Jalapeño, Shallots, White Wine & Saffron, served with French Fries and the fourth person ordered Fish of the Day (which happened to be Halibut, which I cook frequently at home). May I add, the service at this establishment has 5 stars from me. The food arrived and immediately I noticed the bland scent omitted from the Mussels. On first taste there was a soapy flavour from the sauce (needless to say I left it) and when I mentioned it to my husband he said his Halibut was tasteless and overcooked. We did not complain but shall not be returning here for dinner. Staff great. Evening menu, dreadfully disappointing.More

We were so delighted that this lovely French Bistro could accommodate us for a family and friend celebration of life after my sister’s funeral at Arlington National Cemetery. The service was attentive and friendly and every dish that was ordered deserved a rave! And not...only that, everything was nice and hot! Coffee was outstanding and frequently refilled, but if you wanted a Mimosa or Bloody Mary, that could be had as well. And the beignets prepared for our table were the perfect ending to a most delicious breakfast. Thank you for making this a special event for our family and friends! We’ll be back when we visit VA and will let our VA friends know of this treasure tucked away in a residential area.More

Great atmosphere, service and food. Alvin was exceptional with his service and friendliness. Had breakfast on the patio with our girls. The food was excellent. We had crepes, eggs Benedict, pancakes and chip beef sausage gravy. The chip beef gravy was unique and one of...the best I’ve ever had. A plus - they are dog friendly and although we didn’t bring our dog they gave us a treat to take home.More

I had the best experience here! It was by far the best service I’ve ever experienced. The food was amazing and you have to try the escargot. If I lived in the area I would be there every day.

I rarely describe dinner out as fun. It's a lot of things, delicious, romantic, perhaps exquisite. This dinner was all of those things, but we also had a blast! The service was impeccable. Nadir and Aodel (sp?) were amazing. We started with the mesclun salad...and fried calamari, which were perfectly executed. I had the duck breast and my husband had the special T-Bone steak. All of the food was perfectly executed and delicious. the cumquat sauce on the duck was a heavenly surprise of sweet and sour. The wine recommendation from Nadir was right on point and perfectly complimented the meal. We finished the night with some profiteroles which were divine. We are already talking about our return trip to this lovely estabishment. Thank you for a dinner well executed.More
