On a gorgeous fall day, to we say outside and enjoyed a flavorful and satisfying lunch at Caphe Banh Mi. The staff were so patient and helpful and recommended the Imperial roll and Phó. We ordered both imperial rolls and I ordered the vegetarian Phó....Absolutely delicious. The price was totally reasonable and the street is quiet. I highly recommend this wonderful Vietnamese restaurant.More

Lately we have been ordering carry out for lunch with them, and we decided to have dinner outside this evening, The patio seating is nice and Cameron St. doesn’t have as much traffic as King St. on a busy Saturday. We started by sharing the...grilled ribeye summer rolls with peanut sauce—they were FABULOUS! They offer Japanese beer and also Heineken that works well with the food here. We ordered two different entrees; The chicken salad has white breast meat, shredded cabbage and fresh mint leaves and topped with crispy spring onions with a delicious vinaigrette —our favorite here! The Vermicelli Bun grilled is served with a veggie crispy roll, grilled pork, mint, shredded lettuce, daikon radish, crushed peanuts and pickled carrots on top of rice noodles with a dipping vinaigrette—tasty and wonderful! We have tried the Bahn mi sandwiches and really like them. We plan to come back and try their pho soup soon.More

Prices are a little high, but I suspect it's more indicative of the area. I found this place in a Yelp search after trying unsuccessfully to venture into the city (D.C.) on Memorial Day weekend. Instead we went into Alexandria and were craving Viet food....We tried a bit of everything. I had a banh mi, my older son had the bun, and my young son and wife shared a bowl of pho. Tight spaces, so they may not have all of the options that a typical pho restaurant would have. I thought the pho broth was a little dark and the flavor wasn't my favorite. The bun was good and the banh mi was excellent. The best part of the meal was the fried spring roll. CBM uses a rice paper shell, which I wish everyone would do. Again, a little expensive. If it weren't so, I would just order a meal of spring rolls. I know a few places that prepare their spring rolls this way, and this might be the best of the bunch.More

I visited this place two years ago and also just last week with friends. Two years ago, I ordered the Pho, and it was so good, I still remember it to this day. I have eaten a couple of other pho places in three different...states, but I still think this one is the best. Last week, I came here with friends. The place was packed - we got the last two tables. Since it was 95 degrees outside, none of us thought getting pho was a good decision, so we each got different items. I decided to try banh mi for the first time, and it was good. The 8 inch sub was only 8 dollars, and generally, the price of the food items were very reasonable. Hopefully, when I'm ever back in Alexandria, I will visit here again. This is a must-visit whenever you are in Alexandria.More

Enjoyed the pho here, but they are understaffed since the server always seemed like he was distracted with other things. Didn't think they restaurant was that busy.

Ordered pho for takeout. Liked that they gave the broth is a large container so that I could put the noodles in since I didn't have any bowls. It was packaged well and the only thing missing was siracha to help give it a little...spice. Decided to go back with friends and sit outside. It wasn't too late, but the server wouldn't set a table for us, even though we had five people and split us onto the two seaters. One person was sitting on the edge. Didn't think it would be that big of an issue to seat us, especially after a four man table opened up and was given to guy with his dog. Normally would drop it to two stars, but still enjoyed my pho.More

Delicious authentic Vietnamese flavors. The takeout is hopping but we were still able to get our meal in 15 minutes. The lemongrass chicken banh mi is exceptional. Beef pho broth is great. Highly recommend.

Very nice, and friendly, if a bit crowded. Sometimes the line goes out the door, so dress for the weather if you go at a popular time.

At 5pm there were three sets of people already waiting for them to open the door, and a steady stream the entire time we were there. A cozy place with exposed brick walls and wooden floors, but with only 15 two-top tables, so minimal seating....Many were picking up orders. The food was nothing short of fantastic. My only other experience with Vietnamese food was at places that specialize mainly in Pho, and theirs must be excellent here because every other table was ordering it. I opted for the grilled pork Vermicelli, a tasty noodle dish with pickled veggies, fresh herbs, chopped peanuts and a light, citrus-y dressing, It was an amazing explosion of tastes and textures. And if that wasn't enough, it included an Imperial Spring Roll - one of the best spring rolls I've ever eaten. My girlfriend had Imperial Rolls as an appetizer and was blown away with those and the grilled lemongrass chicken and fried egg on rice. It's been a long time since I enjoyed such amazing food, great service, and a comfortable atmosphere at an incredible value. Absolute top notch.More

Small restaurant with well thought out seating area and a simple menu. Very busy but we were greeted when we arrived and they ask you to put your name on a list (no booking) and wait for a table to come free. You are able...to order takeout. Food was tasty and well presented (no plastic plates). Would recommend a visit.More
