I had noticed this placed several times going to the courthouse which is across the street. It really is quite charming and has a definite historic feel. We wanted to eat in Old Town so this seemed a good place to try. We were so impressed when we walked into the beautiful glass-ceiling room and had fun trying to figure... More

We were looking for a restaurant in Old Town Alexandria and happened to find the Columbia Firehouse. They had a nice wine list. we were seated promptly and they took our order. They were a little slow on following up to see if we needed anything else, but the food was served promptly. We did notice the dessert was somewhat... More

Attended a rehearsal dinner at this restaurant. Food and service were absolutely incredible. Interior was charming and quaint. Would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant.

I can't really rate the food, because we were seated and no one waited on us for a really long time. We were really tired and did want to eat there, but after viewing the menu and seeing that the just a burger was $14-15 without a side, we all looked at each other and decided it wasn't worth waiting... This is the second time we have eaten at this restaurant. It was great last year when we went which is why we went this time. We went there for a graduation dinner. The appetizers were very good. We ate the onion rings and french fries. However, for the entrees, the mac and cheese was tasteless and cold. The burgers... More

My visit was for dinner with an out of town friend who I've known for an obscene number of years. Our priority was to find a place where conversation was possible and we hoped also to have a good meal. Columbia Firehouse provided both. We were seated in a booth in the high ceiling, brick walled main room and had... More

If you're like me and think that Alexandria should be chock full of unique "antique" restaurants - this should be one of your first stops. Set in an old firehouse, the atmosphere very much has the 'old town' feel. The menu has a good variety, and after eating there twice over the course of 18 months I can say the... More

My girlfriends and I enjoyed catching up and dinner. Our server was fantastic. We ordered drinks and spent a long time chatting before we ordered. While he did come back to check with us, he never rushed us to order. The cast-iron cornbread was amazing. It was almost as good as my grandma's. I ordered an Old Fashioned, it was... More

A very interesting structure houses this nice restaurant that is also centrally located in Old Town Alexandria. It was recommended by the front desk of the hotel we were staying at and it did not disappoint. Seating is nicely broken up across a few different areas. Meal was great and service was excellent.
