We have been going to A La Lucia for many years prior to moving to South America. While in the Washington, DC area, we came back to enjoy thr great food and service. Jorge has been taking care of us ever since and we were delighted to see him again. The quality of the food has remained the same over... More

We've been here several times. We ordered two appetizers and shared an entree and end up with an awesome doggie bag. We have added A la Lucia to our weekend night out.

Great dinner at a very nice and cozy restaurant. I had a steak which was great. Excellent service and nice staff. Highly recommended.

First of all I want to preface this review by saying we visited this establishment on New Years Eve. We had a table booked but had to wait 30 extra minutes before it was ready. Not a big problem, there was a small bar in the restaurant where we were able to wait. The service was dreadful. Our waitress was... More

It's a small place so get there early or make a reservation. Sometimes we stop by for a drink and appetizers versus a full meal. We like walking the neighborhood and the food here is very good. We also like their other restaurant Hunting Creek, which is on King St.

Three friends together to celebrate the holidays over a terrific dinner! A La Lucia is a wonderfully friendly restaurant with delicious food and wine. Waiters are always helpful in soliciting our preferences among the always exceptional offerings and then suggesting a great wine as an accompaniment. The three-course fixed price menu always has divine dishes, making it hard to choose... More

We still love A La Lucia. But that love was tested in a Saturday night dinner to celebrate our 20th anniversary. This small restaurant's charm is also its challenge--its size, both of the restaurant and bar, makes it a challenge to handle surges. We arrived 5 minutes late for a 7:30pm reservation to be told we would have to wait... More

We have eaten at a la Lucia a number of times over that past several years. We do not live in Alexandria but visit the area frequently to be with family. We always try to have one dinner at a la Lucia when we are in town. The restaurant is not a tourist destination and is very popular with locals... More

We had a business dinner there for 8. Service was spot on, nice menu and decent ambiance. Food was very good and timing of service was as well. I didn't see a wine list. Gelato was good. Would definitely return. Prices were reasonable for the area.

Small and unassuming, but more than just your local Italian pizza / pasta place. They feature regional foods of cuisine, and the region changes regularly. The food is fine dining Italian...we tried whole brozino, 2 veal dishes, beef. 25% off wine on Mondays meant we grabbed a very good Tuscan red. Warm focaccia is addictive. Very friendly staff has been... More
