I really like this restaurant and the food is very good. The service is usually pretty good. Love their lattes and their cocoa is to die for! Of coarse their bread (pain) is amazing as well as their desserts. I like that they have many healthy options. In the evening they have nice music playing in the background, which is... More

This is an excellent place for good pastries and a decent cup of coffee. The ambiance is nice, and there's room to sit down and relax (unlike the chain coffee shops).

Recently was in Alexandria for a little site seeing and touring. The temperature in DC was a stunning 90 degrees and the minute you stepped outside it felt like you were walking in soup. We stopped into Le Pain Quotidien on King street and immediately were greeted with a smile and a seat. The smell of fresh bread and the... More

Sadly, we should have dined here for dinner but didn't however we did stop in for desserts. The menu was wide ranging & seemed fresh. Unfortunately, we had only enough time to grab them to go before they closed. I had a refreshing stone fruit tea with a chocolate chip cookie. Both were delicious.

Although this restaurant is part of a chain, you would never guess this from visiting this location. The service is friendly and low key, the coffee is excellent as are the breakfast treats.

Le Pain is a chain coffee shop with upscale European pastries and high quality, organic food and coffee. Service was very friendly and prompt. Great spot for brunch or to grab a coffee to go!

Breakfast in a town like Alexandria can be difficult, particularly if you want to go beyond typical hotel restaurant fare. Judging by the take-out and table traffic, Le Pain Quotidien is the option frequently chosen by both locals and visitors. Le Pain has seating on two levels – we were seated on the first level, dangerously close to a display... More

We stayed in Alexandria over Memorial Day weekend and headed out for an early breakfast and having read the reviews fell into this place. First of all the service is terrific. Secondly the food is spectacular. We both ordered the mushroom and goat's cheese omelet and I ordered the fresh fruit too (incredible). The omelet comes with two "hunks" of... More

It is a little noisy and a little pricey but fun and tasty for weekend brunch. European style dishes, and copies of their own tasty cookbooks on the farmhouse tables, make for a different & pleasant experience. The flatbreads, frittatas, good breads, pastries, parfaits , fruits, and pots of thick fruit jams make for good eating. Complaint... Coffee is excellent... More

We popped in here for a snack while in Alexandria. The coconut macaroons were AMAZING! The best ones I've ever had. The croissants were so fresh and buttery.
