Wonderful food, pleasant atmosphere, and great service. It is BYOB which makes the evening more affordable and fun. There is a liquor store a few stores down selling adult beverages (solves this every day but Sunday - and there is a 7 day grocery store...More

This restaurant is buffet style and you can still order from the menu. Can tell some of the foods have Nepal style tastes but all is good tasting India food, Don't know what region of India though.

We had Samosas, Kathmandu Kothey Momo, Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Murg Shahi Korma, and Aloo Gobi. It was all tasty enough that I’d like to go back to try other dishes in the future.

It'sin a strip mall. Large but simple decor. Service is low key. Buffet options and variety nare good. Matar paneer is best. Flavor is good here. Meat dishes are little overcooked and dry. Veggies are good but a little overcooked and mushy.

Saffron has by far the best Indian food in Austin along with easy access and parking and a very comfortable at ease environment. Owner and waiters are very friendly and personable.

Saffron has a fairly average Indian buffet for lunch. The price is reasonable at $11, and the variety is fine. However, I went at 1:00, and they were virtually empty on several dishes which took about 15 minutes to refill. Moreover, the chicken in sauces...More

Description
Thank you all for embracing us wholeheartedly, Ever since we have opened our doors this spring at our first ever location in North West Hills, your love and support has been overwhelming. It makes our commitment even stronger. All inputs, tips and advice is taken in earnest and appreciated. Saffron serves an eclectic mixture of traditional Indian Cuisine punctuated by the flavors of the Himalayas. Our food stand true to its roots and origin while we source most of our produce locally. All dishes, sauces, naans and desserts are made in house from scratch. We are proud to be the first restaurant in Austin with a dedicated Nepalese menu. Nepal is a land of many flavors, while many of its dishes are indigenous and indicative of its culture and people, while few are inspired by its immediate neighbors, India and China. Our Nepalese menu is a thoughtful mix of both. We welcome Austin and its love for good eats with open arms! Namaste! And Tashi Delek!
