My wife and I stopped in here for dinner not knowing what to expect, and were pleasantly surprised! Found a spot in the TINY parking lot, and were greeted by a pleasant and helpful gentleman behind the counter. I got the Chilaquiles and my wife got the tacos. Food took a while to come out, even thought the restaurant was... More

Bright atmosphere. Good prices for fresh food. Crevice is the best! Outdoor seating is lovely if not too hot. Great fish and vegetarian options. Authentic beer and juice selections.

One night per week my husband and I place a to do order for the tostada salads with fajita chicken. They are delicious! The salad greens are so fresh and the flavorings on the remainder of the salad compliment one another perfectly. Due to an odd law we're also able to order frozen margaritas and sangria to carry out. Of... More

I've been a regular at Zocalo Cafe for a few years now, and I especially appreciate the nachos and the Zocalo salad together. You can choose pinto or black beans (both vegetarian) for the nachos. The salad is the only one I've had at an Austin Mexican restaurant that combines colorful red and gold peppers, jicama, and leafy greens. Topped... More

We wanted to try something new and had heard of this cafe. The food was made fresh and very delicious, however the price you pay for the portion you get didn't seem to fit. One plus were the margaritas and sangrias that are offered at $2 each.

Good food, ambiance and drinks!! Specially the drinks, they have a good mix of sangria and piña colada to die for!! The food is good, they have healthy selections and their chips and salsa are tasty.

After visiting the Gone With the Wind exhibit, we were looking for a Mexican restaurant close by. We happened upon Zocalos. We were very happy with the food as it was very tasty, and Mark and Chris were extremely friendly and gracious. They made sure we were happy with the food and had all we needed to enjoy our meal.... This is a casual place to eat. If you are looking for fancy, this won't be your place to go. I personally love casual places, so it was good for me. I'm a vegetarian and selected the quesadilla. It can out quick and was hot. I thought it was very yummy and enjoyed my meal very much. I'd absolutely go... More

I had brunch in Zocalo. I was hoping for something authentic but I got cafeteria food, instead. Nothing really stood out, I could find same quality in a Formula 1 stand and, worst for me, my clothes ended up smelling like food afterwards, even if I was sitting as far away from the kitchen as possible. What I liked was... More

nice atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. Delicious breakfast options with a range of Tex mex and more "traditional" brunch Fare along with salads and sandwiches. Great drink specials including piña coladas and mimosas plus tea and horchata. Friendly and fast service.
