I had Terry Black’s barbecue today. My plate included turkey, sausage with cheese and brisket and green beans. I couldn’t be more impressed with the taste and quality of all the food. Definitely going to add this to my must haves on return trips!

While visiting Austin we had to try one “highly reviewed” BBQ restaurant and we went with Terry Blacks primarily because they had the best sides listed on their menus.
It is a little pricey, but most BBQ is and this place is competitively priced!

Our niece and her husband (nephew now) took us on a visit.

Food was good. I know bbq tastes differ,...More
Don't be deterred by the line! It moved fairly quickly and was worth the wait. You order sides and then your meat. Sides were better than typical, cornbread sweet. Brisket was divine! Ribs and turkey excellent. Sauces on the thin side, great flavor.
Brisket and sausage are both very good. Wish the sides weren't located buffet style next to the line where everyone passes to order, however, the coleslaw was very good and the mac and cheese was okay. Staff was very friendly.
We got there on a Friday about 30 mins before they opened and wee one of the first ones there. There are picnic tables and benches all around outside some up near the door. You should not have a heavy wait if you go a bit... More
