Stop by the place, it is clean, well run, and has happy employees. I tried the brisket, turkey, ribs, potato salad, creamed corn, and chocolate pudding (was sharing with friends so don't judge) :-) It really is worth checking out and is great for large groups as well. I see people saying this place isn't as good as this or... More

This chicken pasta and vegetable eating Californian had a yen for some beef and oh my gosh I found the right place!!! Don't miss the moist brisket and baby back ribs. The best and if you're going to do it go for it at Rudys!!!!

They advertise as if they're high quality meat. I wouldn't say anything negative otherwise. Pretty good old-style place with predictable noserings, etc., being close to campus in Austin.

Stopped in during a visit with family and friends. Food came in a reasonable amount of time, plenty to eat, and the quality was very good. Took a couple of folks who'd never had brisket, and they were very impressed and enjoyed the meal very much. Not sure why the folks who ordered the hot and spicy beans were surprised... More

We went as part of an office goodbye party. Everyone enjoyed the food and time at Ruby's. Cafeteria style service. Can be confusing especially if this is your first time.

Ribs were mediocre, sauce too hot even for Austin as well as the sausage. Turkey was inedible. Save your money & go to a decent restaurant where they know how to cook barbeque.

grimy little place with no atmosphere. the baby backs tasted like they came straight out of the oven no smoke flavor at all. the smoked turkey had never been anywhere close to any kind of smoke. it was tasteless. sides poor to ordinary. the beans were so hot seasoned not even my grandson could eat them. sorry but there is... Spicy beans, a bit heavy on the chili powder, and good mustard potato salad. Brisket was OK. BBQ chicken was really OK. BBQ sauce was an excellent Carolina style with a hint of vinegar. Overall good food, just not great.

Spicy BBQ beans, vinaigrette Cole Slaw, and sausage and chicken w/ their signature sauce. Not great but does the job.

Needed some sides to go with the chilled brisket we picked up from Franklin. The mac and cheese and collard greens were amazing. Vinaigrette cole slaw was great too. The spicy beans are SPICY. Look forward to trying some other items soon.
