As most write, Vic's BBQ is top choice. I had the turkey and wow - mouthwatering. A colleague had the brisket with a similar result. The service is a bit brash and substandard but you cannot get better BBQ in my opinion. And the price is great tool.

Just a small local place with outstanding BBQ. The staff is friendly and courteous, the facility clean yet simple and the food is delicious. The prices are low. I had a tremendous brisket lunch for under $15. The home style sides included baked beans, green beans, corn, slaw and others. I had the slaw & corn, both excellent. I saw... More

Vic's is great for breakfast tacos or fabulous barbeque. Their ribs rock as well as their brisket. We sometimes go there twice in a day from the office. I love the staff - a little surly sometimes but always ready to laugh!

I visited this restaurant to try the local BBQ. When I arrived at lunch time there was a line almost to the door. I thought this must be a great restaurant. I was disappointed when I learned they do not take AMEX but I ordered anyway. I got the chicken and sausage with 2 sides. The chicken was great as... More

I have lived in the area for almost 10 years. I finally drove here specifically to have lunch. Parking is insane at lunch. Line to order gets long, but they are very fast. I always order a chopped BBQ, beans & potato salad to check out a BBQ place. It was OK. Nothing special. The beans were bland, potato salad... More

Food was good, not great. Small portions of sides, meat good, sauce average. Menu is a true mess scattered all over wall, can't make sense of anything without asking. Disappointed with desserts, thought they would have been homemade (banana pudding was) but pies weren't, and what barbecue joint doesn't have peach cobbler!?

I'm not sure what a "dyed in the wool" Texan would think of Vic's but I thought it was pretty good. I ordered brisket, sausage, with green beans and coleslaw on my way of town( it's within 5-10miles of the airport). I didn't have time to go to my favorite place in Austin and when my mobile phone recommend Vic's... More

We visited Austin and on our way out, we wanted to try some BBQ. I asked a gentleman at a convenience store on Congress Ave., and he recommended Don's BBQ as one of the best places in town. We tried looking for it, but kind of got lost and decided to just leave. On our way out, we spotted Vic's... More

My husband and I hadn't gone to Vic's BBQ for a long time. The pork ribs were mostly bone with little meat, the brisket was very tough and sausage wasn't any better. I wanted extra meat with my meal. When we checked our receipt, the extra meat was like paying for another meal without the sides. The two meals were... More

I had the rib plate and my husband had the brisket. We both liked the meat but the two sides potato salad and beans were not good. The atmosphere of the place was a little on the blah side. I would not eat there.
