We decided to get BBQ for our office and selected Iron Works. We ordered a ton of different things and took it to go. Everything was delicious, especially the brisket and creamed corn! Prices were reasonable too. Highly recommend if you are looking for a fun place simply great food and no fuss.

Wow! If you want to experience the BBQ thing in Austin then this is a great choice. 5 min walk from the Austin Hilton Hotel in downtown. My first experience of a sign on a door that says "please conceal your weapon before entering"! Be hungry or share a plate. We had the Jnr. Ribs and the pork ribs and... More

This is a great place to eat authentic Texas BBQ. Had the beef ribs, and they were very succulent and well-cooked. The sauce was excellent - not too sweet or spicy, just right. The building itself is interesting - a very old one-story shack in the middle of an urban jungle, and dwarfed by the massive convention center next to... More

This place was great. Exactly what I was looking for. I got a brisket sandwich and a turkey sandwich, both with sauce. I got them to go as I was in a bit of a rush. But sat down at a table to use the sauce and napkins. I ended up hanging out there and eating my whole meal. Meat... More

The Iron Works BBQ is worth visiting just for the atmosphere. In an old "iron works" building, right on a mill stream (which thanks to a lot of rain lately, was raging), we were able to eat out on a porch overlooking the water. I thought the brisket was tender and delicious. The BBQ sauce on the table was excellent.... More

We have been to Ironworks several times, for lunch and dinner. When I arrived in Austin last week, I went to pick up my rental car and then directly to Ironworks for lunch. Their sampler plater is #YUGE and tasty. They provide bottles of BBQ sauce on the table but I have never used it as the brisket, sausage and... More

Nothing makes this place stand out. Not bad at all, just not as exceptional as the other ratings imply.
