Really nice Cafe. Loved the coffee and the bagels, except they weren't bagels they were called something else. None the less they were delish and the service was great. Definitely go here if you are in the area.

We were in Austin for five days staying at a VRBO one block from this coffee shop. We liked it so much that we ate there all four mornings and one day for lunch. They make all of the pastries in the restaurant and it is so good that it is sold out by noon The coffee is great and... More

We stopped by here for dessert after a delicious meal at a restaurant next door. They had a nice variety of bakery items. While the black and white cupcake was excellent, I found the carrot cake cupcake to be more of a spice cake flavor. It lacked obvious carrot pieces and the pineapple, nuts and raisins you'd expect to find... More

Great cafe with delicious sandwiches and coffee/tea. Beautiful indoor and outdoor sitting. Ample parking space amongst art galleries around.

I've been going to Sweetish Hill Bakery off and on for years. I like the simple atmosphere and the coffee. However it has disturbed me that lately their baked goods are dry. Seems like they might not be fresh. I was disappointed by what I bought. The cookie and muffins tasted like they were a day old or even more.... More

Longlived Austin standby, dependably delectable bakery treats including palmiers, muffins, great bread, and a variety of cakes. Many of our family's birthday cakes originate here- lemon and chocolate and Italian cream cake are scrump. Soup and salad are fresh, and sandwiches are made to order.

I had two experiences from this bakery: a yellow cake with chocolate buttercream frosting at a party, and a couple days later, breakfast. Both were wonderful, and I know my desserts! You can get a hot breakfast here, as I did: scrambled egg, sausage or bacon, bailly. Everything was fresh and delicious, with generous portions.

I was invited by a local austinian.... It was a delicious breakfast! the person that invited me, was waiting with a pair of cheese/ham croisants, cause "they sell out to fast", and after that I also went for a banana muffin and a coffee. it was a simple, extremely delicious breakfast, in a local bakery. nice place,

This is an Austin, Texas must stop! Freshly baked goods, tasty sandwiches and soups, vegan options, and attention to detail in this quaint but delightful bakery! I love this place!

Austin does not have great bakeries. Sweetish Hill does better than most. The apple dishes are consistently good, however, and this local establishment has proved its staying power.
