Cool atmosphere, ok food. Parking was horrible. We had to park in a neighborhood across a busy 4 lane road and play frogger to get across the street. I had higher expectations with the food. It wasn't piping hot when it made it to the table and was just ok.

Curra's is in the Austin Mexican Food Hall of Fame. This is not Classic TexMex. More interior Mexico. This time we had some new items (for us). Started with Jalapeño Relleno Appetizer. Really cheesy, nice batter and the pepper had a bite-will definitely have this again. Comes with beans and rice do it could be a small meal. We also... More

I eat here a lot when I come to Austin. At times it is difficult to find a parking place and being on Oltorf St. makes for a traffic battle at times but where in Austin is that not the case. The staff there is great and the fish wonderful. The mole is good to boot. A not really traditional... More

As a longtime customer, we drove from far north Austin to Curra's for breakfast, anticipating the great food and service we'd always received. We couldn't have been more disappointed! Our server, Sol, botched both our orders. About 15 minutes after placing our orders, he came out to announce our food would be ready in one minute. The a couple of... More

We haven't found anything this close to the delicious foods in Tulum Mexico until this place. Everything from the service, the salsa sampler and the meals were superb. We had the shrimp cancun tacos and carnitas tacos...soooo yummy. Other reviews were on point, the Avocado Margarita has made me a convert. No other margarita will do now. The Tequila Smash... More

The service is always medicore to terrible (I've been peer pressured to go about once a year since 2005) and I got food poisoning the last time I was there and haven't been back even because my friends want to go. The icing on the cake is charging for medicore chips and salsa. Seriously, there are a bazillion authentic Mexican... More

This place was open for breakfast so we tried it one day. Great choice. Our waitress was pleasant helpful and send us home w fresh chips and salsa to go w our left overs. Tried a variety of enchiladas, and flautas (chicken, my fav of the day). Def a good choice.

We came the morning of UT graduation and it was packed! I hadn't been here in years but it is as yummy as ever! I had the Migas (added shrooms & cheese) and my hubby had the Tacos al Pastor (his favorite Mexican dish). We loved the homemade tortillas - both corn and flour. The corn tortillas were huge and... Delicious Tex Mex eatery with excellent variety of both traditional and fusion choices. Try the Avocado margarita if you are feeling adventurous, but their regular margs are great as well. Note that chips and salsa are not served for free unlike most other Tex -Mex restaurants. Inside seating is comfortable, but the outside furniture has an odd mismatch between the... More
