No reservations accepted, but we were seated very quickly!! Every week night has a special! Friday is the King Ranch Chicken with 2 sides for under $8! Strawberry rhubarb pie was a great appetizer!

Love, love, love Threadgill's! There are other locations, but this is my favorite. In walking distance of Auditorium Shores, the hike and bike trail, and the Congress Ave "Bat Bridge." Check out the armadillos!

The food was great and the menu varied. The service was slow and when I ordered what read "banana bread pudding" on the menu, I was served banana pudding. When I pointed it out to the server she said--"I'm sorry" but didn't offer to fix the mistake.

Stopped for dinner one evening while staying at the Embassy Suites. Great ambiance. Great home made cooking. Very reasonably priced.

The waiters were attentive and helpful. I loved the photos of the golden days of the Armadillo HQ. I have never had a poor meal there, nor a problem. The bar choices are sufficient and the prices are reasonable. It is, overall, very good.

We joined some friends for a Saturday brunch. The buffett was tired, stale, and unappealing. The made-to-order omelette didn't contain fresh mushrooms, and my chicken-fried steak, ostensibly a specialty and "world famous", was mediocre at best. The prices were reasonable, and the service good. Unfortunately, no repeat visit from me...

We went for a few drinks at the bar on a Friday night, went early and got a seat at the bar. Many who came later were not so lucky as there are few seats. Service was good. We didn't eat as we wanted wings and they don't serve them!

Great show; they've still got it. Wonderful small outdoor venue under a tent. Casual, classic Austin. Good cold beer. A little road noise from Riverside Drive, but the music makes you forget about it. Great crowd: everybody listening and enjoying the sounds, moving to the music, dancing.

We saw this advertised in one of our clipped articles from an old Spin magazine. We read rave reviews in the local travel zines so we decided to take ourselves to Threadgills for the Sunday gospel brunch. The music that morning was excellent and the breakfast wasn't bad. Try the sweet potato pancakes. I loved the solo rendition of Amazing... More

The staff were amazing. I had a buffet that was set up through a conference I went to and it was loaded with fresh Tex-Mex food. The bartender was amazing as well and the overall feel was comfortable.

Thank Jaymz M
