Not really sure what all the hype is about this place. We’ve tried to dine here many times while in town but have never been able to get a reservation. I’ve eaten a ton of sushi in my life and this was good it just...wasn’t exceptional......especially considering the price. Service was very good as was ambiance I just wasn’t blown away. Maybe my expectations were high. Portions were small and price high. If I’m going to spend big $$$ for a dinning experience in Austin I’d prefer dinning at Eddy V’sMore

Literally the worst sushi of my life. Disgusting horrible! I like the sushi at China buffer better! I took a date here and we got what the waiter recommended. We both hated everything we got and I spent $150. Like four roles and they all...tasted like crap. Never againMore

I have lived in Austin for 17ish as years and can say, without a doubt, that Uchi is by far my favorite restaurant in Austin. The service, the atmosphere and, of course, the unforgettable food is so melt in your mouth delicious you will remember...what you ate until your next lucky visit.More

Disappointing evening. The food was just ok. Fish did not seem as fresh as past visits. Service was timely but very mechanical. Restaurant was so dark it was difficult to see the dish. Afterwards, I was sick all night with stomach cramps. It’s the only...place we visited last night. This was probably my 8th visit. Hope these guys can find their lane again.More

My husband and I have had this on our list of Austin restaurants to visit for years. Why did we wait?! One of the most memorable meals we've ever had in the United States, it was that special. Every dish was fresh and unique. It...is on the higher side price-wise but we felt it was worth every penny. At Uchi you don't just get a meal, you get an experience that you will not forget.More

What more can you say. This place is fantastic. We sat outside where it was nice and quiet. The service was top-notch. The waitress knew to bring one dish at a time and allowed us to finish each one before the next warm dish came....Everything we tried was fantastic.More

We had the Chef's Tasting which is a 10 course (I think that's how many). Each course came out timely and by the end of the course, we were quite full. The service was great too! The only downside is, it was so loud and...busy.More

We went on a Sunday night with our 4 year old. Ambiance is very nice. We sat toward the front so we could see them making the sushi. Our waitress was nice and answered all of our questions. Only thing I didnt really care for...was the amount of time between each plate. We ordered all at once and they slowly trickled out. Maybe waited 10-15 min between each plate. Overall it was a good experience.More

I don't eat raw fish but I had some amazing dishes in the restaurant. Definitely worth every penny! One of the best, if not, the best restaurant in Austin. And this is coming from a hard core New Yorker!
