Our excellent server, Sam, was ready to answer our menu questions, however as soon as she mentioned the Omakase option, we were sold. Omakase is a 10 course chefs-choice selection of the most delectable, unusual, creative, sublime tastes arriving one by one at a leisurely...More

Highly recommend Omakase which allows chef to have total control of your dining selections and the order they are served. The Austin location is like no other, the ambiance is authentic, service is highly attentive and not pretentious. High quality unexpected ingredients and flavors presented...More

After several years of procrastination we finally went to Uchi for dinner. Arrived about ten minutes early and had a five minute wait to be seated. Our waiter was Jodi and she was outstanding and did a great job of helping us navigate the menu...More

My wife and I love sushi. This restaurant is at the top of our list now. Lots of variation in their sushi. Server, John, was outstanding. He made great suggestions and each dish was great! Expensive, but worth it.

Get here before 6:30 for the “Sake Social” happy hour menu with tasty yellowtail & fresno chile, or salmon & kimchi negi hand rolls for $4! Their signature dish in my opinion is the hama chile: yellowtail, ponzu, thai chile & orange.

Massively popular sushi spot in a hip spot on South Lamar. Family of four had the perfect start with kyra kyuri's at the bar. Outstanding barman! Once seated, the appetizers hriame usuzukuri, wagyu carpaccio, suzuki yaki, pork belly and brussels sprouts kept the party going....More

Incredibly loud for a Wednesday night. And no, none of our diners are elderly or need hearing aids. (I say that with no offense meant; I say that for context.) Perhaps the restaurant wants this type of vibe and energy. Our party of four had...More

This was one of the best meals we’ve ever had. We were 2 couples - the men ordered the chef’s tasting and the women (one who isn’t a sushi lover) ordered al a cart. Every dish was fabulous; the drinks and service were also incredible....More
