Incredible Food

Absolutely fabulous food, in a country french setting. I have been there at least four times in the past few years and highly recommend it. Good for couples looking for a romantic dinner.

We always love Chez Nous but somehow seem to forget about it since it's on Neches one block south of six street. Working downtown we often get the hell out of dodge rather than eating at downtown restaurants. Chez Nous is a favorite and last night we had a wonderful meal. Terrific bottle of Sancerre, ruby trout, Salad Lyonaise, pate... More

My wife and I went here for our anniversary. Chez Nous reminds of both of the small bistros in Paris in both quality and size. It's fairly small, about 20-25 tables, but with a very warm and friendly atmosphere. The food is phenomenal! They've got a good mix of classic french dishes like entrecote with frites (a ribeye with fries)... More

Visited on a Wednesday, arrived 10:15pm. Posted closing time on web and front door is 10:30. Only wanted creme brûlée. Was told kitchen was already closed. Any legit restaurant keeps kitchen open till closing time. Creme brûlée is not cooked to order. We even let them know that all we wanted was this quick dessert. We had taken an uber... More

Had a late dinner with some friends. What a surprise to find a cozy, casual, and friendly restaurant right in the middle of the downtown area. The Assiette de charcuterie and Assiette de fromages were wonderful and gave us a nice variety to choose from. The portions were quite generous and I highly recommend these as starters. The sautéed rainbow... More

We had a wonderful time with a great lady server. She even recommended a nonalcoholic beverage for my son (orangina), so that my son would feel cool while we did a family toast

A delightful discovery for when you're not in the mood for BBQ'd meat. This quaint understated centrally located restaurant offers a nice range of French inspired cuisine, reasonably priced. I enjoyed for lunch their chicken asparagus crepes which were lovely and a generous serving. The chocolate mouse for dessert was rich in chocolate flavour as you would hope for! A... More

We were staying downtown and wanted someplace for dinner within walking distance. What a great find! The prix fixe dinner at $32 was a bargain. I had a wonderful salade Lyonnaise, trout, and chocolate mousse. My sister had the same, but with creme caramel. Everything was delicious. There were lots of things on the menu that looked great...everyone should be... More

My husband & I were visiting Austin for the weekend and stumbled upon this lovely restaurant. The inside atmosphere felt more like a family owned establishment than a fancy French restaurant, which we liked. Their lamb was incredible and their choice of Brie (Belletoile) was delicious! My only recommendation would be to add a little more (fruit, crackers, etc) to... More

The restaurant is located about 1&1/2 blocks away from Public Parking and a building which had approximately 50 homeless men outside. The food just wasn't worth dealing with walking there and back.
