HORRIBLE experience; former regular customer. Owner was downright rude. Waiter ignored us repeatedly when I called to get his attention. He had to have heard me. The food took WAY too long then the portions were much smaller than usual. There were no menus available....To have people use their cell phones to scan a code and read a menu when we are sensitive to the microwave radiation of cell phones is unsafe, uncaring. They told us they only have two paper menus for the whole restaurant. The menus didn't have the things we got here last time and one of the two that contained different items didn't have any prices. When I asked for prices, waiter didn't know. This was off the chart disrespectful treatment by waiter and owner. Menu fails to say artichoke dip is super spicy- bad for you anyway. Super rude waiter -when I attempted to get some service. Said you're standing in an employee only area, rudely -no sign though. Hateful waiter. I asked why it was taking so long, the rude waiter said, the host at the door should've told you it was going to be 35 to 40 minutes from the time you order to get food. Told him that didn't happen and he just shrugged and walked away -was as far from apologizing as a person could get. WHAT A BULLCORN attitude all around from the owner and waiter. Go to Casa De Luz instead. It's a FAR better experience. Owner acted like she didn't even remember me. Prices are too high for serving sizes.More

Really enjoyed our plant based lunch. Everything is vegan with gluten free options. I had the beet burger and quinoa salad and my husband had seitan pastrami and mashed potatoes. Food tasted fresh and not oily. Very filling patio sitting was an option. Server was...very friendly and wearing a mask. Easy to park behind the restaurant too.More

We had the Buffalo Mac & Cheese balls, pizza, pumpkin curry quinoa & cheesecake… and they were all awesome! Callie was truly the best. Great recommendations & service! She deserves a raise! We’ll be back!

Even vegetarians and vegans deserve good BBQ! Being one of the highest rated vegan / vegetarian restaurants around with jack fruit on the menu, we had to stop in. A very colorful and bright environment that offers plenty of outdoor seating on the private patio...with a very impressive menu. The staff are friendly and personable, and they make a hell of good BBQ jackfruit. We had the mac and cheese balls for an appetizer, an excellent choice. Not only was everything extremely flavorful, the staff were absolutely great. Cheers!More

My husband and I came down from Houston and we wanted to try some vegan spots. This place was on our list and it was so great we went back for more on the last day of our trip! The food was delicious especially the...queso( like seriously order it). The atmosphere was awesome as well. Abby and Em were our servers on the nights that we went. Both of them were so nice, personable, friendly and attentive. They made suggestions about what to order and told us their favorite menu items and overall made our experience there really great! We can’t wait to come back next time! 🥰More

I am not a vegan or vegetarian by any stretch of the imagination, but my wife is all for healthy eating, so it was with that in mind we tried Counter Culture for lunch one weekday. After finding street parking, we were seated outside on...their funky patio. Service was friendly and helpful. My wife LOVED her veggie frittata, and I managed to find something I could eat (a sub sandwich with something I've never heard of)--the bread was out of this world! While not normally my type of food, the quality is there, and I applaud the restaurant's mission statement.More

You have Charming Eastside atmosphere and very friendly service. As always we are greeted with smiles and as an extra bonus they allow our dog in the cozy outside patio. We had the omelette with cashew cheese and spinach. The eggs were cooked perfectly and...the cashew cheese is out of this world. The breakfast burrito also has amazing flavors with tofu and bean based stuffing. For vegan and vegetarian alike this is a great option for brunch!More

We visited Counter Culture when it first opened on a sunny weekday. We had a great meal, mine was fabulous! I had the smothered burrito and beets and sweets as my side. My burrito was huge and the beets and sweets were cooked beautifully. The...burrito was true to it's name, it was smothered! Soooo good, I couldn't eat it all, which made me sad as I couldn't finish my side either. The good news, leftovers! Take a chance and check out this place. You won't be disappointed!More

Nice atmosphere and broad range of options. The best part? Breakfast is served until 3 PM. As for the food itself, it is fresh but rather heavy. A lot of choice.

Our friends recommend this spot as it is supposedly where the locals go. We came at an off peak time for happy hour (30% off apps) so we had no issue with seating or service. Food was comfort good, nothing spectacular but filled us up...and left us happy. Nice selection of local kombucha and service was knowledgeable and friendly.More
