My wife and I drove from Houston this morning for at 10:00 a.m. appointment at the TRS office in Austin. Arrived in Austin early and decided to have breakfast at Cherrywood Coffeehouse. Looked up on TripAdvisor as we arrived in Austin and decided to give...it a try. My wife ordered the huevos rancheros and I ordered the American breakfast consisting of 2 scrambled eggs, pork sausage patty, hash browns and an English muffin. Both were delicious. Coffee and mimosa was excellent as well. Would not hesitate to go here again. Service was excellent with a very casual atmosphere!More
Stopped in for coffee and breakfast with a friend in town from the West Coast. He recommended the Oat Milk Coffee, said it was naturally sweet. Good choice. Tasty coffee. I ordered some sort of tofu/egg breakfast taco. Frankly, I'm not a big tofu fan,...but this was a very good taco; nice size and full of flavor. My friend ordered the steel cut oats. Big bowl, he enjoyed his choice. Sat outside, as not that hot out ... yet. Do not leave your food or birds will share your breakfast with you (and, note, there is a sign on the door that warns of this happening, and it is true; pay attention).More
First let me say, service is king (or queen) and the service at this establishment was awesome! We felt welcome the moment we walked through the door and our server greeted us and chit chatted with us to get our orders just the way we...wanted. I was thoroughly pleased with the service AND the coffee. I will definitely add this on my list of places to visit when we come back to Austin!!More
There are so many coffee shops in Austin that are great. This east side local gathering place is really wonderful, but the coffee was not my fav. The vibe was very "old" Austin (laid back), and was nostalgic for me. The servers were friendly and...efficient. The food looked great. I will have to return to try some of it. I recommend you give it a try if you are in the neighborhood.More
OMG y'all it was amazing! I think I've found my favorite lunch/ coffeeshop! This lacks hippie environment gavee comfort and great food! Def recommend trying the Chicken Thai Salad Wrap!!
lunch stop after Tiny Home show … sat outside on patio, music started up just after we sat down and was too loud to talk so went inside … salad looked great, my burger was so so … bread nice along with vegis but meat...kind of bland … had chocolate smoothy that was very goodMore
I go there most Saturday mornings with my bike riding friends. We love this place. I also go there occasionally on Saturday evenings for live music. Especially Neal Mehta. They have a good beer selection and great burgers and fries.
Cherrywood Coffeehouse had a great atmosphere and delicious food (and tea!). I had the Migas Taco with bacon and my friend had the Luna Taco (a bit spicy). Both were delicious and surprisingly filling. If I lived in the Austin area, this would be a...go to for a quick breakfast and morning drink.More
Cherrywood is such a friendly place. I only ordered a smoothie but it was refreshing on a hot day. They have lots of seating inside and out.
We went to Cherrywood and we really enjoyed ourselves. My son doesn't live to far from it so we went there twice. It is a nice coffeehouse with indoor and outdoor seating. They also serve breakfast which is what I got. A great place to...unwind or be on your laptop.More
A one-stop coffee shop with everything you could ever ask for—robust coffee, house made iced teas, smoothies, wine, 25+ draft beers, pastries, bagels, and a large chef-inspired food menu. Unlike most local coffee shops, Cherrywood’s food menu offers all-day breakfast and extensive lunch and dinner...options. Brunch is killer here on Saturdays and Sundays, but the lines tend to get long quickly. The house burger is better than most local restaurants, the Soul taco a local legend (good luck fitting it in your mouth), the brunch French toast and biscuits and gravy quintessential comfort foods, and on top of that, the vegan and vegetarian options are sure to impress. One can reasonably stay at Cherrywood all day, eating, drinking coffee and iced tea, studying, making friends, watching a game, smoking outside, catching live music and open-mic comedy, and mingling with the altogether charming staff. The ambience is folksy and organic, with a side of grunge and a heavy dose of Austin weird. Sure to impress locals and visitors alike. 5/5 for this coffee shop extravaganza.More
Interesting coffeehouse and bar. Often crowded on weekends. Good pastry, breakfast and lunch. If weather is good, lots of seating outside. Expect to have trouble finding adjacent parking. Just past I35 on east 38th. For ambience, one of best coffee places in Austin.
Great breakfast tacos and coffee. What more can anyone ask for? I recommend the Luna Taco and French Toast. You will not be disappointed.
