Awesome restaurant. Great vibe. Chris our server was excellent. We had the charcuterie board to start followed by the slow cooked shoulder, pork carnitas beef filets all very good. Place is dog friendly.

Excellent piggy restaurant. Everything we ordered was exceptionally delicious. Wait staff also tops. The candied Pork Belly with Duck Fat Fries - perfect meal - topped off with the butterscotch pudding. Wish we had this restaurant in Manhattan - I'd go once a week.

One of the BEST restaurant experiences we've had in a long time. We ordered the Charcuterie Board, the Duck Fat Fries, the Slow Cooked Beef Shoulder, and the Sow'rita (one of the best margaritas I've had in a long time). Everything was not just delicious,...but interesting & intriguing as well. The place has a great vibe. Our server was excellent. Only minor flaw was that the water had a funny, (not-so-funny) taste. But we didn't go there for water. Our server apologized and gave us a break on the bill. We'll definitely be back. So many good plates to try next time.More

Went on a UT game night, seated quickly and on time. Our server Quinten knew the menu and made several great recommendations, especially the tempura shishito pepper appetizer. Great cocktail list, varied beer selection and excellent food made it easy to see why our weekend...hosts have this as their go-to place.More

We moved to Austin about six months ago. We have a goal to try a new restaurant each week so we can become acquainted with our new home's food scene. But after our first visit to Salty Sow, it's become a regular stop for our...Friday night out. Pretty much a once a month thing, and I look forward to it every time we make a reservation. The atmosphere is nice but laid back. The food and cocktails are consistent and consistently top notch. The parking lot can fill up, but there's plenty of street parking around the corner. We love jumping around the happy hour menu, but you also can't go wrong with the burger, beef shoulder or carnitas. Blackened redfish is next on our list to try. Highly recommend this place, but be sure to make a reservation.More

I've been here several times and consistently leave happy. The pork belly is delicious, and the carnitas is a nice alternative if you don't want something that rich. The wagyu cheeseburger is excellent and they cook it to order nicely. The duck fat fries are...a noteworthy experience on their own. They have a nice selection of local beers as well.More

I love this place. My sous chef introduced me. If you're a burgers and fries, bbq type person then maybe it could be odd to see things like duck fat french fries, beets with goat cheese, and so on. however, if you know quality and...aren't afraid to try something different, try this place. The only thing I can say I haven't liked, is the mac and cheese. I feel mine is better, but wouldn't I though?More

My Bad, I was looking for a BBQ joint, this is not that I really dont want this review to be negative, if this is what you are looking for. We only sat outside but really enjoyed atmosphere. The menu was limited I expect due...to Covid. I would suggest looking at menu before you go, stuff like pork belly and duck fat fries with egg on top. Food was good, drinks selection good, but very expensive.More

A must try! The fries are served with a fried egg on top and a simple bearnaise dressing.I paired my fries with some tasty fried chicken thighs. They gave a nice little happy hour. You might be seated with others. A lively little place. A...tad over priced.More

Overall the experience at this establishment was positive. The happy hour was spectacular as far as the drink selection. Personally I am not culinarily adventurous, however everything brought to the table looked beautiful. The items I was brave enough to try were delicious.

A group of us decided to try this place the day before Valentine's Day to beat the rush. All I can say is WOW! We had a bunch of different things and we all shared. There wasn't one thing that didn't taste spectacular. We shared...the Warm Olives and Triple Fried Duck Fat Fries. Both were exceptional, especially the hot, crispy and perfect tasting fries with egg and Bearnaise sauce. For dinner I had the Milk-Braised Pork Butt with White Beans. It was marvelous. The meat was fork tender and really tasty, the beans perfect. Tastes of the other dinners, another pork dish and Swordfish, all were really good. We shared a Banana dessert that was great also. The service was as good as service can be. This is obviously a great restaurant and we will be back for sure.More

I was pleased with my food, and give the restaurant high marks for their gastropub menu. The Beef Shoulder was super tender and full of flavor - like a modern take on pot roast. It was a large portion with veggies for only $21. Sean...Minor Pinot is $12 per glass. WHY NOT 5 STARS? I knocked off 1 star for the waiter's continuous upselling. We were a party of 7 and he tried to sell us extra dishes too often.More

The menu offered a wide variety of unique dishes, with a list of rotating specials. The cocktail flight offered is what really sold me on this place. The atmosphere was nice, service was good, and food was great. Perfect place for a foodie to visit.

We stopped in for a light dinner and ended up enjoying a few tasty draft craft beers with equally tasty appetizers off the Happy Hour menu. The truffled deviled eggs were large and delicious, and the biscuits and Rosemary honey fried chicken thighs......WOW, they were...great! Actually they were incredibly great! Highly recommend a stop here. The atmosphere is very chill and you will be happy you dropped in! Our server Chris was also super friendly and efficient!More
