We took a first time Indian food trier and she loved it! It was good but not the best I have had. Felt more like fast food atmosphere versus traditional sit down. I do not think I personally will give it another try.

Tarka is a quick service, order at the counter Indian restaurant. One orders at the counter and the dishes follow shortly. Our party enjoyed the variety of dishes as well as spice levels.

This is a favorite place for authentic Indian Cuisine. Always enjoyable with plenty to eat for a crowd. Naan is excellent. Many Curries to chose from. The tastes are amazing the aromas are tantalizing. Friendly folks fast service reasonable prices. This is the place for...your Indian Fix.More

Worst Indian food ever, we ordered Malai Kofta, Chicken Biryani, Paneer Biryani, Chicken Vindaloo... Malai Kofta is not just patato patty made in Tikka sauce... We had real high hopes considering the reviews but they are just selling food which doesn't taste authentic... One star...is for ambience, presentation, staff !! They really don't know how authentic Indian food should taste !!More

Have been to this restaurant several times and tried a few of their menu items and am absolutely stuck on some of their appetizers! This is a small, out of the way restaurant that has absolutely delightful staff and wonderful food. The bigger restaurants get...lots of press but this place beats any of the other Indian restaurants I've been to in town hands down! I tried the Biriyani (chicken) and have to say it was so so, but on other visits found that the appetizers are just amazing. The Samosa Chaat is one of my go to's each time I am there as it has such a mix of flavors and textures that it simply can't be beat! It is a small dish but starting with the great flavor of the samosa (love the potato and the crunch that the fried outer part gives), then top it with chick peas/garbanzos, onions, tomatoes and other beautifully colorful ingredients it makes for a lovely plate and great part of a meal. I usually go for another appetizer instead of a full blown dinner, and have fallen in love with their soups. I can't decide which is my favorite and go back and forth between the one that is a combination of tomato and coconut with lovely spices and the Mulligatawny soup that has chicken, lentils and some wonderful spices that is very satisfying too. On my most recent trip, I decided to try some of the naan … the garlic naan to be exact and I was not disappointed. I have to say that this place has some great food. The only things that could make it better are adding more varieties of foods to the menu, especially the desserts (there are only 2) and expanding from pure ala cart to perhaps a buffet type of situation occasionally so that people are better able to sample more of your dishes . Try this hidden gem and I bet you will not be disappointed!More

Ordered two kids meals. Consistently good. Met my expectations. They always seem to deliver. Could add a tad bit more chicken to the rice dishes.

I work in the West Anderson Lane area and at least once a month I hear Tarka calling me to satisfy my craving for Indian food. Tarka is always fresh, consistent and quick. I will be back next month for sure.

Easy access , quickie Indian food you can get it here . Menu items are limited ... mostly the food are westernized ... not purely Indian in taste ... but yet good service. Loved the mango lassi

Being a pescitarian, it's not always easy to find meatless meals. I would have to say Tarka if a favored spot for me to grab lunch at. Love the Matter Panear!

Shared the Saag Paneer and the Chicken Tikka Masala. Both very bland and unremarkable. Almost tasted as though both were concocted from the same "base" with a bit of minor adjustment. Not really bad, but nothing that made either flavorfully distinctive. Needed more ginger and...a bit of something I could not put my finger on. The chicken pakora was actually very nice- light and crispy chickpea batter and moist inside, with a tasty green chutney for dipping. Garlic naan was tough and chewy and had no discernible garlic flavor whatsoever. Many better options in the area for tasty Indian food.More
