This small cafe makes several varieties of authentic Vietnamese food, including Bahn mi sandwiches, Pho soups, Vietnamese crepes, plus several excellent rice or noodle bowls. After a lifetime of travel and living in Asia, this is one of our favorite lunch places in Austin.

This is very clean small hole in the wall Vietnamese place located between the Starbucks and the Rite Aid at the corner of Guadalupe and 38th. It's small with 11 booths and three tables. My guess is it's a family affair. I was in the...area and wanted something different so I dropped in for lunch. I tried the "Combination Pho" and it was really nice. Three or four different cuts of meats are in the noodle bowl. The broth flavors are really well developed and were tasty enough that I went light on the Siracha sauce. The dish is served with bean sprouts, Thai basil, jalapeño peppers and lime on the side. I added them all to my dish and it was quite tasty and filling. With respect to value, with tip and without a drink the dish cost ~ $15, At that price maybe one should expect a little more meat in the dish. I'll visit again and next time I'll try Banh Mi sandwich.More

I told the waiter that it was the best meal I have ever had and I wasn't kidding! The coconut pancake was out of this world and worth the 15 minute wait. Green tea ice cream was served on a bed of shaved ice with...strawberries and condensed milk. Yum!More

I ordered the Vermicelli bowl with chicken. The chicken was delicious and the vegetables were fresh. The noodles were average to me, not as good as other Vietnamese places in my opinion, but the good meat and veggies made up for it hence the 4...instead of 3 stars.More

We keep coming back for the pork and veggie Vietnamese egg rolls! Only 2 per order - but oh so good! General Tso's a regular order as well. Watch out - the spice level is set to atomic at times. But you can always request...easy on the spice. Portions are small. See picture. Our entree was mostly salad. But the fresh cucumbers and spiral sliced carrots are a nice touch. The dressing is addictive and delish. And we keep coming back for more.More
