I took my adults kids there for an early lunch. We had the fried green tomatoes appetizer for starters. It was lightly breaded/fried and topped with a cold mix of crab meat remoulade. My son tried a bowl of the etoufee, it was very soupy and he didn't care for it much. But once he added a 2nd helping of... More

We recently ate there both Friday and Saturday nites. The food is off the chart. Our waitress on Saturday was Kalyn?. Not sure how to spell her name but sounded like: Cal-Lynn. Her service is a "10" and she is really easy to look at. Great wine selection and the servings are very generous.

We were worried our kids wouldn't enjoy the food as much as my wife and I were hoping we would. We started to leave after waiting and looking through the menu (not because of time but kid food choices; picky kids). The manger came out to us in the parking lot with a great attitude and assured us the kids... More

I ordered the Catfish Yoli and it was great! Fish was nicely seasoned along with the creamy sauce. I will definitely be back!!!

I enjoyed my night (alone alas!) dining at the FQG, where I had my first blackened catfish in the Lake Pontchartrain dish- very tasty! The appetizer wedge salad was very nicely done with blue crumbles and a reduction base. Accompanied by a fine wine. The is a great little restaurant whose exterior belies its excellent cuisine. I very much appreciated... More

We really enjoyed our dinner. Our server was attentive but not to the point of being obnoxious. We had their steak special--beef Wellington with shrimp, jalapeno mashed potatoes and red wine/mushroom sauce and shrimp and crab salad. Both were delicious and executed to perfection. I did not care too much for the butter served with bread before meal, but that... More

Austin is a new travel location for me, and FQG will be a standard. The atmosphere was quiet and welcoming. The food was fantastic, the service was great and respectful, and I will be back. I wanted to have seafood, but our waitress said the Chicken Benjamin was great. She did not lie. From the first bite, the meal was... More

I love this place. The food is excellent. I have tried much of the menu and never been disappointed. The wine list is great for aficionados and casual winos alike. The staff is attentive and friendly.Great for entertaining clients and just having a great meal.

This restaurant is small but excellent food and service. I got a dish called Lake Pontchartrain and it was on of the best dishes I have ever had.

Impressed with the " New Orleans " cuisine, authentic, DELICIOUS, and full of flavor! The service was over the top, prices were average for this type of fine dining. Perfect setting for date night, or a special occasion.
