Similar to some previous reviews....10 course Omakase menu was a bit boring, too much sushimi. For the price, I’d expect more innovation for the taster menu. We went to similar a restaurant in Boston recently and that was a bit more expensive but MUCH more...More

First night in Austin and wanted to start it out right. I dinned with my wife on a Sunday evening. Food was fantastic. The Edamame alone is worth the trip. We had the Brussels Sprouts which were devine. The seared duck was out of this...More

Food is sweet and spicy which is typically for Americans. Not surprisingly, we are the only Asian couples. Once again, food is good but not like traditional Japanese style.

We had reservations for 7pm on a Saturday night and were seated promptly when we arrived. The cocktail and wine list was extensive and appropriately priced. Our server, Brandon, was very knowledgeable and helpful with menu selections. The food was delicious, some of the best...More

We love sushi and seek it out wherever we travel. This experience was right up there as one of the best. The selections are interesting and the flavors are exceptional. We felt like each plate had it's own personality. Clearly this is a well thought...More

There is so much to choose from at Uchiko, that it is almost daunting. There were three separate menus - happy hour, daily specials, and full dinner menu. And there were some dishes that echoed across all of them. I saw three different short rib...More

You MUST try Uchiko if you are in town! You can tell from the number of $$$ that it's not the cheapest place. So when is the best time you ask? Happy hour (which is called Sake Hour), daily from 5-6:30PM. It's first-come first-serve, seating...More

Small, intimate restaurant; not fancy. Great sushi, sashimi etc. Outstanding Chef's specials. The cold tastings were amazing, delicate combinations. Very good waiter but servers assisting her accidentally gave one of our selections to another table. The waitress seemed to be waiting on one too many...More

We to Uchiko for a late dinner. The brussel sprouts are amazing. The sushi was very good but the nigiri cuts were small as were the rolls. Savanna was a great server!

It's one of those places that you just don't think of the price. It's all worth the cost. Go during happy hour.
