I have had a lot of BBQ and Franklin’s ranks high. This place is quirky. You have to wait in line and if you are too late they will run out of BBQ. The wait can be long (one and a half hours). Is it...More

Wonderful experience, Atmosphere was friendly, welcoming, food was fantastic. We were even granted a personal tour of the smoking area. We plan on visiting this place again. I wish I could cross this one off my bucket list but I can't as we are definitely...More

I finally got a chance to try their barbeque and it certainly deserves the hype! Their brisket is cooked to perfection and the taste overcomes all the guilt of overeating. I love this place!!

When we get out of town guests that we REALLY like, we pre-order from Franklin's. For us, it's the only way. When you do that, the very helpful staff "out back" packages it all up, offers various sauces and sides and gets you on your...More

The brisket is the best we’ve tasted! Highly recommend pre ordering though, we skipped the queue and although it’s a lot of meat to order it tastes great cold straight from the fridge the next day!

Yeah there is a long wait but they supply deck chairs and you can go in to buy merch, beers use toilets etc. We went on a Tue and knew I wouldn't be first in line at 8:15 but never expected to be half way...More

On a hill country trip we ended up going through Austin and had been hitting several of Texas Monthly's top 50 barbecue spots. We decided to check it out. We had waited at pretty much every top 50 barbecue spot and this was not different....More

Not bad at all, but in my opinion not the best in town either. Like most of the locals, Terry Black’s is the place to go to. Brisket is a bit more tender and Terry Black’s has giant beef ribs!!! If you’re not a local...More

The hype about Franklin made it one of the funnest things we did in Austin. Honestly, it's the best. When I put the first piece of brisket in my mouth..... I just had to sit there and relish the moment. Also, heads up, you can...More
