We actually ate here twice during our 5 day stay in Austin, because it was close to our hotel, we loved the food, and the staff was very kind. My mother loved her mussels and my vert salad and filet mignon were terrific! They could...More

Their fries are amazing, as was the cheese. Very much enjoyed the eggs benedict. I would like to return to try their confectionary and macaroons. Very nice looking inside.

This is an excellent place to go if you are big on the way food is presented. The food is OK too. The seating is perhaps a little cramped, but it was not too noisy--conversation was possible, which is important to me. The menu, while...More

Went here for a late Sunday afternoon date with my wife. Excellent French food, wines and overall themes. Had the Vieux Carrere cocktail - very well made. My wife and I had the escargot to start and the French Onion soup. All well done and...More

I love this place - I go every time I'm in Austin. The large restaurant is beautifully decorated and the food is incredible. The steak frites is my favorite but honestly everything, especially desserts I've had here are bar none.

We came here on a Saturday night, a party of 6 celebrating our teen daughter’s birthday. The meal was a disaster. Almost comically so. A total fail of food and service. Le Politique needs to retake Restaurant Operations 101, and learn a few things, like...More

Heard lots of positive and glowing reviews about this restaurant, but, one visit was all it took for me to say not worth the hype. The restaurant design is a strange mix of sleek and low inspiration. Tables are too close together. No atmosphere. Had...More

A contemporary French brasserie in downtown Austin was a welcome surprise. Service was very efficient for our large group and the food was excellent. There was an on-site bar with great cocktails, in addition to good dessert on the menu. The design and the decor...More

I had heard some mixed reviews and decided to go to brunch. Wasn't bad at all, but if you're going to serve brunch in Austin you need to excel. My feeling was of a chain restaurant 'ok' experience. Nothing was delicious just ranged from ok...More

We went to Le Politique for breakfast on Sunday on the recommendation of a friend. My initial impression was good as the oysters and raw bar looked enticing but ordering breakfast foods we all three were very disappointed with the food quality. I ordered an...More
