We had sauteed snow pea leaves with garlic which was a very unexpected happy face on the taste buds. Also had the slice pork in hot chili oil with cabbage. It comes in a bowl like soup and is great over rice. Restaurant decor is not reason to go but the food will make us come back soon.

This restaurant is easy to find, got enough parking space and in a quiet place. The staff was friendly, professional and overall dealing was comfortable. The food was very good but lacked the original "szechuan" taste. I think you could request for spicy when you order. The standard spice level was not enough for us. One dish was twice cooked port which disappointed us but all other were nice.

Nestled in South Austin on Westgate and 71 is a little hidden gem that serves authentic Sichuan Chinese food. As unassuming as this place looks the menu is very extensive and priced reasonably well. From various dry pot to spicy soups and noddles this place has it all if you like spicy foods. Some of the best dishes we enjoyed include Sichuan peppered fried chicken and sautéed lamb with vegetables as well as the spicy beef stomach. The flavors are right on and we have always received great service from the staff. For this of you who enjoys spicy Chinese food, this is the place to be.

We ordered walnut shrimps, and the walnut was obviously expired. We asked the server to please take it back, and we will just order another dish. The chef came out mad and yelled at us that 'why we Asian people order this American Chinese dish?!' His comments confused us. Anyway the 2nd dish we ordered to replace the walnut shrimps came out extra salty and spicy. I guess we were being punished for ordering Chinese dish made for American people only and complained. Don't think we will go back.

My wife and I had not been there in a long time. I checked their website and found that they were still there and had their special Lunch Menu. When we arrived, there were literally no customers in the entire restaurant. One man at the desk was very surly. He showed us to a booth and then went and made lots of noise putting together plates and the like for our table. When he brought the menus I asked if we could have the lunch menu and he said they no longer had any lunch specials. I told him I had seen them on the website 2 hours earlier he said " I just work here." He asked what we wanted to drink and I replied "iced tea". He brought one glass of iced tea to the table and walked away. I called him back and told him I would pay for the one iced tea he brought and that we would not be ordering. Without a word, he picked up the iced tea and walked away, so we just got up and left.

Sad how our favorite place (last 18 years) has gone downhill the last couple of years. Today was the last straw. we've been calling and calling on the phone several days trying to get through, busy, busy busy. so we finally drive up there to place and order and tell the lady about the phone - she pulls the phone out of her pocket and pushes a button - click - and the phone starts ringing off the hook. I have seen this trick when employees working late didnt want to answer the phone - and I let her know about it. She just stared at me and said " well the owners dont care". I asked for the owners name and phone so i could call to complain and she refused to give it. saying the owners are vacationing in new York until January. So after suffering through the last year of bad service like this over and over, we are throwing in the towel. Used to be a great place when the previous owners had it, but now the absentee owners and the bad employees have run it into the ground. Adios sichuan, time to find a new Chinese place.

We ate there with our daughter and family. The menu is extensive, and the food was very good. The restaurant is in a strip shopping center, but the interior is spacious. The service was good and we enjoyed our visit.

Good Sichuan cuisine at the restaurant. Very generous with their portion sizes and prompt service. We ordered Dan Dan Noodle, Sichuan fried chicken, hotpot fish, shrimp fried rice. Every dish tasted really good. Dan Dan noodles could've been spicier.

It's a bit hard to find but worth the hunt. The place is not fancy but the food is outstanding and the service is good too. I'll be going back again and again.

It's a gem, for the south side of austin. Went with my daughter. Ordered a little of this and that. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. Like the orange beef and the corn soup.

Decent & authentic food. The server was grumpy, the Boba is tea was okay, but the spicy pork dish I had was delicious. Won't come back because I am from out of town.

Stopped by on a hunch and we were pleasantly surprised. I ordered the Hot & Sour soup and it came out within a few minutes, steaming and delicious. Spicy but not overpowering heat. My meal was the Hot & Spicy Pork and it came with white rice and was also very delicious. They do have some unusual items on the menu(intestines, kidneys} for the braver soul to try if they wish. Staff was pleasant and prices were moderate.

We ate lunch here last Friday. I ordered the salt & pepper shrimp and it was excellent! It was not overly spicy. Very flavorful. Our waitress was quite helpful and attentive. The menu is expansive. The portions are generous and a nice value. I will definitely return.

Had dinner here last night - and was very pleasantly surprised. The restaurant used to be the Tianjin restaurant - in the same location. Now is a new restaurant focused on Sichuan food. Overall, the food was very good. Had 4 season beans (dry fried green beans) and Dan Dan Noodles - both of these a Sichuan specialty. How these dishes are prepared is a great indicator for the rest of the menu. In summary - they were great! We had also cumin lamb and shrimp with snowpeas. Both also very good. I topped it off with bubble tea... Overall a great dinner - and my family agreed

This restaurant is located in a strip mall but the food is quite good. They have a mix of authentic Chinese and American Chinese foods. I had the sizzling, spicy beef. I wanted spicy but this wasn't that spicy even with the jalapeños mixed in. It was a lot of food though. It was three of us and the food could have been shared with about 6 people. The beef was well cooked, flavorful and tasty. My friend had a fried tofu dish but she was disappointed because the tofu wasn't fried the way she expected it to be. Overall, I'd visit here again if I'm ever in Austin again.
