From 2006 until 2011, my office was close to Al's Hamburgers and I enjoyed many a lunch there. I no longer work in the area but I like to have a burger from Al's whenever I'm in town for a Texas Rangers game. Although Al's offers chicken fried steak, fried catfish, fried chicken, grilled chicken, etc., I've always ordered the... More

Awesome waitress staff. There to make you smile. Patty Melt was gone before I could remember what it looked like. Onion Rings were ok...needed more onion in the ring though. Cheesecake was ok...nice cinnamon flavor but just a little on the sweet side for me. They have Shiner, 'nough said.

Good burgers & chili cheeseburger (my husband & I split a double) onion rings good and crispy, tater tots cooked perfect, chili on chili burger very good! Shake machine broken, so sad! Great waitress. Burgers thin, & good. We used to come here 22 years ago, Als has been in business since 1957

This is the worst restaurant in North Arlington it is filthy dirty. The food is beyond mediocre and the service is despicable.

Ordered my burrito with jalapeno's! It is as big as the plate and just as filling. The orange juice tasted fresh squeezed but I don't think it is.

The best pot roast in the history of the world (sorry, Grandma). Al's is one of those rare, unpretentious restaurants where you actually get your money's worth, you can bring the kids without fear of death stares from fellow diners, and you feel like you ate dinner at home that someone happened to cook for you. Very, very close to... More

OK once in a while. Friendly staff and tasty food but if be happy to pay an extra 5c for a paper plate. The most minimalistic approach does make it cost effective.

We drove past this place several times during the past couple of days and there were always a lot of cars so decided to try it out. I requested to have the stuff hamburger steak on a bun- no problem with the special request. Also had the beer battered onion rings. Both were very tasty! Edith out server answered all... More

I grew up in Texas but have not lived there for many decades...yep I'm that old. I do travel there couple of times a year to see family. Now there are certain things you always eat when you go to Texas and a good Texas Hamburger is one of them. Al's has a good one always.

I love this place. Al's started out as a drive in burger joint but is now a brick and mortar establishment. The staff are friendly and attentive. The menu offers plenty of options for most appetites. You can order lunch plates, breakfast, burgers, and dessert. This place is super affordable too. A cheeseburger might set you back $3.25. My son... More
