This is one of those places I probably wouldn't have tried because it just doesn't look very appealing from the outside. It could use a facelift. And, after eating there, the same could be said about the inside. But, a friend of mine had tried...it and said it was ok so we decided to give it a try after church. The menu is large with a whole page of just omelets. I tried the roast beef omelet just because I don't think I've ever seen that before. It was decent. Rather under seasoned, which seemed to be a consistent theme from everyone. but not bad. Others had the two egg breakfast with hash browns and bacon and one person had the vegetable plate. The high point was the bacon. Thick and cooked thoroughly. The low point was that they were out of biscuits. Almost criminal. They did have their homemade bread as an alternative. Overall, my friend was right; it was ok. Not bad but nothing to draw me back.More

This restaurant has a very dated decor and invisible fish in the aquarium. The staff is very friendly and hearty. My wife had the California garbage breakfast. It was simple, had everything in it but meh. I had the strawberry waffle with (canned) strawberries and...whipped cream. Also an egg with 2 strips of bacon. Actually the waffle was pretty good as was the egg and bacon. All in all basic breakfast but nothing to write home about.More

While I ignored the sweetnlow packets and napkins balancing the tables to the floor, the rips in the seats and the outdated building, I drew the line at the TERRIBLE wait staff who verbally abused each other and absent staff members for about ten minutes...right out on the floor in front of customers. In particular the tall young blonde with the red shirt! Horrible for business. Food was good but I would never go back! If you want to hear a soap opera and good food, eat here. But for an enjoyable meal, keep it moving!More

My cousin came to town and I wanted to treasure him tho breakfast someplace other than IHOP. I read the Trip Advisor reviews on Rise and Shine and decided to try it. I am so glad we did! Service was great. Server was friendly and...we got our food quickly. I had an omelet with ham, cheese and tomato and homemade bread. It was soooo good. It tasted so fresh. I had home fries. They were good and plentiful. My cousin loved his ground beef omelet and pancake. Portion sizes were healthy but not overwhelming. We will be back.More

I love Rise & Shine. We'e been going there for years. My daughter and I share an order because their portions are generous. They serve freshly made homemade bread toast, as well as homemade cinnamon toast. And you can purchase a loaf (or more) to...take home. Their wait staff are all very friendly and attentive. Your coffee cup never runs out. Five stars.More

This place used to be a Grandys. The decor has not changed and looks like it did in the 80's. I was a little taken bacjpk when I first went in but was greeted by a very friendly waitress. You sit wherever you'd like, just...choose a table. The menu for breakfast is very large especially the omelets many choices. I told the waitress I couldn't decide between two and was told they make them as you order them and you can have them any way you can dream up with no up charge. I had one of the best omelettes of my life and then to top it off they serve homemade bread and cinnamon raisin bread. Oh my goodness. Melt in your mouth yummy. Do not go there for the ambiance. Go there for the great breakfast and you won't be disappointed. It's a true hole in the wall with a great breakfast at a good price.More

Had eaten there for years. They have a lot of different omelettes. Some good lunch meals too. Home fries were the best. Place has always been a bit dirty, I have told them this too. Went there two Sundays ago, home fries were horrible. Last...visit there on a Sunday I sat and waited over 50 minutes to get my meal. If they ever clean this place up I will return.More

Small town feel, come in and find an available table! Great service, delicious food! A great local place to experience Texas! We loooooved the Biscuit Debris, California Garbage, made from scratch raisin bread (If you're not normally a fan, i dare you to try it!)...and French toast with their white bread! If you've been to Sill's Café in Utah you'll Love Rise and Shine❤ thanks for the delicious breakfast!More

You'll love Rise and Shine! Their omelettes are DELISH, and they can make most anything you can dream up! The staff is very friendly. It's usually abuzz with "regulars" who know that the food is good. We recommend the biscuits and gravy.....yummmm! For breakfast this...is a great choice!More

You walk in and have to wait to be told that you can sit anywhere you want. No one to greet you and or let you know. My first time there and I'm suppose to know that? The servers were great once we were told...we could sit anywhere. Breakfast was plentiful and OK. You could tell it was cook quick and you would hear someone in the back ground always hollering the servers name to come and get there orders. Place could use some cleaning all over and especially in the bathrooms. Old décor I guess. We tip our waitress well for that was the best part of the breakfast. Even on check out we had to wait at the counter to pay while the staff was behind close doors, the cook finally hollered something and someone came out to settle our bill. Seriously doubt our return.More

A little hole in the wall type breakfast place. Food and service were good, prices were very reasonable. I had a veggie omelet that was delicious. The home made raisin bread was good too. Good value for the price.
