The name of this restaurant is deceiving and does not help it marketability, which is sad, as it is the best Chinese in Arlington. I don’t say this lightly, as when I lived in the UK, Chinese food happened twice a week. Tonight, we had...takeaway. However, at some point, we will eat in as the restaurant is nicely decorated. The menu has a good range as well.More

The old Panda House that was on Cooper just north of Park Row has moved to the location of the New American Bistro. They have the same Panda House menu and prices but in a much nicer location. I love their sesame chicken, and today...it was even better than ever before.More

We have been here twice now. There is a new owner, the food is great, really nice atmosphere. Also has live music a few nights a week. Great service as well!

I have now visited New American Bistro 3 times. My wife is on a sushi kick and every monday this place offers an all you can eat sushi for a great price. Food is outstanding! Service has been fantastic! That being said, in speaking with...the owner, he mentioned he is having a few growing pains. He's taken every suggestion and used it to improve the flaws he said he's found. He has some great dishes on the regular menu that I plan to try next time I visit.More

I purchased a Groupon for this restaurant and we thought we would give it a try. This is a cozy spot with 12 or 15 tables and some outside seating. We are always interested in the wine list at these places. This one is somewhat...Limited and the prices are what one would expect at a restaurant. I did not see any great values on the wine list but there is a variety that should suit most people. We started out with a cheese platter which had some nice English cheddar a port flavored cheese and brie, along with cherries and strawberries. I had a glass of pinot noir. My wife had a glass of cabernet. Both were okay. The cheese platter was rather substantial, so my wife ordered spinach and pear salad, which she thoroughly enjoyed. I had the chicken and pasta in a cream sauce. The chicken was nicely grilled and tasty. The pasta needed salt. The cream sauce was more like a juice, thin and runny, without much flavor. In summary, the place has potential. It is intimate, and quiet. Service was attentive and non-intrusive. The kitchen performance is a bit spotty. I think we will give it another chance.More

Visited with business colleagues and had a wonderful meal. The excellent mahi-mahi was accompanied by a delicious corn risotto and perfectly cooked fresh asparagus. Started the meal with a wonderful salad. FRESH and crisp greens with a homemade dressing. Great wine list - both in...selection and value. The owner was very attentive to our needs. Overall, a wonderful restaurant!More

Same owner/manager, the former name was "Mercury Bar and Grill." Owner Robby changed the name to give it a bistro feel. He also added more seafood selections, such as Seabass (our favorite). Their Jalapeno Cheese Grits are to die for! Due to demand, he took...in additional space for seating. Robby is there 24/7, works very hard to maintain high expectations and quality. Good wine list, and he offers samples of his latest wine acquisitions.More
