My husband and I always make it a point to stop here while passing through Amarillo, which is often. At least we used to. Coming home after driving for nearly 18 hours all we wanted was a good burger. It was the second time in a row they completely messed up our order. The first time the kitchen didn't read... More

Amarillo was location of a recent family get-together. Eight family members had lunch at Blue Sky. I got the cheeseburger and onion rings. Both were fabulous. They cooked the burger just as I requested and the onion rings were, I think, the best I've ever had. All our group had similar reviews. I'd love to go back to Blue Sky!

I could never eat there after 2-3 bites because the food is just full of grease and high calories. I just drank my beer.

Do yourself a favor and stop here on your way through Amarillo. Quick on and off access from 1-40. The green Chile cheeseburgers are to die for! The chiles come from Hatch, New Mexico such great flavor. You walk up and order at the counter and build your burger. Chile sticks, green Chile cheese fries we also delicious. Probably one... More

Found this place on TA. Did not disappoint. It is just burgers, but they do a nice job with burgers, fries, rings, etc. Must be doing something right, since it always is packed with customers.

I stopped in after a long day of inservicing people and needing to drive to Lubbock that evening. It was about 615, I ordered the kids meal 2 mini cheeseburgers and fries and availed myself to one of the 8 containers of various iced teas (peach, yum). My dinner hit the spot, was quick and I was on the road... More

Driving west from Dallas I watched a huge thunderstorm roll in and I met up with it on I40 in Amarillo. I took refuge (and lunch) in Blue Sky and enjoyed a very tasty burger in a congenial atmosphere while watching the storm pass through from the windowed patio. I'd eat there again for sure, rain or shine.

No kidding, it is the best burger! If you like burgers, you HAVE TO try this place. The burgers are divine and so are the onion rings and fries. Quick access from I-40 and fast service. This is a locally owned place that you will be glad you tried!! Enjoy!

Make sure you try the green chile fries with cheese. The hamburgers with grilled jalapeños and onions are the best in Amarillo.

Love going to Blue Sky for a good hamburger. They fix it the way you want with fresh toppings. They have awesome fries and onion rings. Wait time isn't to bad at times.

Thank Joel M
