Average diner. Service slow and disinterested. Food was horrible. Eggs and pancakes. Scrambled eggs tasted dry like they were left over or reheated from a package. Pancakes were OK but how can you ruin pancakes. Coffee was fair at best. This place was suggested by...the Tourist office. We should have taken the suggestion from the 'Big Texan' staff and gone somewhere else.More

Open for breakfast and lunch. Friendly and efficient staff. Food was extraordinarily delicious and reasonably priced. We definitely will return there to eat when we are in Amarillo on future trips.

We went for breakfast here on a Sunday morning, and the place was buzzing. Still, the waitress was very attentive and helpful to us, and everyone else it seemed. We ordered the breakfast burrito and the pancakes. Warning: Pancakes were HUGE - one pancake is...a meal in itself - and a delicious one at that! Wonderful food, good prices, endless coffee refills, and great service! Highly recommend.More

The food was awesome. My husband had Flip’s Green eggs and ham and I had French toast. This is a must place for breakfast when visiting Amarillo

They advertise they have the world's best pancakes, but my hubby said they weren't anything out of the ordinary, That being said, the service was above board. Waitresses were super friendly but not overly fussy. We sat down immediately and got our orders in quickly....Our food arrived piping hot and in short order. I had the Dutch pancake and it was perfect. Eggy and buttery with fresh fruit....yum! However, my scrambled eggs were a bit on the cold side. Overall the physical aspect of the place needs a lot of attention. Everything looks worn and tired. The bathroom doors are super narrow, definitely not handicapped accessible. The bathroom itself was not the cleanest.More

Mixed review, unfortunately. Saw the great reviews so I took my family there while visiting from out of town. The food was delicious so I wish I could review it separately. The staff estimated about a 15 min wait but then we were standing outside...the main doors and they said they wouldn't call our names outside so we would need to check in every few minutes. Well over 30 minutes later we were seated, but disappointingly our party was split into 2 tables. Oh well, we ordered relatively quickly (mostly pancakes and breakfast dishes) and that's when the real wait began. We were having a nice time talking so I didn't notice how long it had been at first, but then I went to the bathroom (waited for that too because it is a single stall, and pretty gross), and came back and they still didn't have their food. We started to notice that other groups sat after us were being served and after asking our waitress to check on it for us, she gave us no update or reason for the delay, or eta, then all of a sudden our food came out--about 40 minutes after we ordered. So after all that, it really was very good food. But I won't go back. The whole place is so run down, dirty and ugly. With food like that and as popular as it is, they really should be able to run their business better.More

Our hotel did not offer a breakfast; so, we looked on Tripadvisor and found this breakfast place. The food was very good, and the service was fast and friendly. They say their pancakes are the world's best. I'm not sure that they are the world's...best, but they are good--and sizeable. Two thumbs up. One of the best dining experiences my wife and I have had on a few recent trips through Amarillo.More

Like someone else said in a review, "great service/food just ok". The restaurant was packed on this Sunday morning. People were waiting for up to an hour. Our server was a true professional. I had a Spanish omelet with green chili sauce that was good....My wife's Belgian waffle was not good. We won't return.More

Finally got to eat here and was not disappointed. Coffee was some of the best we had ever had. Breakfast was fresh, tasty, and bountiful. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Biscuits and pancakes were excellent. We were very pleased with our breakfast...experience here. Had tried to eat here last time in Lubbock, but this place was crowded and we did not wish to wait. We were able to get right in this time.More

Great service food just ok. Pecans in pancake had an old taste. Coffee was good. Bacon was good. Husband had green eggs and ham and would not order again.

Trying to find a breakfast place on a Saturday morning while traveling. Searched this place and gave it a try. Little busy, but they got us in quickly. Food was great. Rosie was a wonderful waitress.

Found this place on Tripadvisor and decided to try it. Boy, I'm glad we did. Got there right before the big breakfast rush, so we only waited 10 minutes or so. Our food was excellent, and the waitress was awesome. I never saw the bottom...of my coffee cup as she constantly made the rounds, which is a rarity in my experience. Great job, Melissa!More

If you like the idea of a traditional, local mom&pop coffee shop with a considerable variety of offerings with great taste at a great value, this is the place for you. Yes, it’s an older establishment, but it’s clean, the people are very friendly and,...best of all, the food is tasty and the portions are not chintzy. Sure, the entrance might be a little odd, but you will be smiling from the time you present yourself to Melissa at the hostess stand to when your server greats you at your table and throughout your meal. Although we were there for breakfast, the lunch menu looked equally appetizing. Chains are great for a reason, but do not miss this great opportunity for some very tasty local flavor.More

We / I had high hopes for ye but was slightly let down. Restaurant was old school country style. While restaurant wasn't nasty there were areas of improvement just lil more attention to wipe down salt and pepper shakers and wall coffee splatters not major...issue. My wife ordered coffee and the Belgium waffle which comes with 2 eggs and choice of meat scrambled egg & bacon w salsa for her all good she says I ordered a skillet scramble with sausage and added Chorizo with bisquit and gravy which comes to table hashbrowns topped with chopped up sausage then eggs covered in gravy topped with cheese in a lil skillet & biscuit and gravy on side. I removed skillet from the large plate it was on an split my 2 bisquits on it poured the skillet contents on top an poured the gravy over all ( a mountain of food )says the wife guess it was a plate full my only complaint was old grease flavor in hashbrowns threw off the mountains taste. Our waitress rose was great tea and coffee stay filled.More
