Wonderful and huge chicken fried steak! We always order the spinach as the side, to get that serving of vegetables.

No waitress should have to work tables in three stations. It is ridiculous on every level and any manager that asks it should try doing it for a couple of shifts before asking someone else to do it. Brittany was cute and did as good...More

All four so us had different meals. Each one excellent. The BBQ shrimp appetizer was excellent. Also gave us a free banana pudding for dessert because the (new) waitress spilled a drink on my husband. Very good.

Hoffbrau has been an Amarillo establishment since the 1980's under the same family ownership. This makes it unique among the many "chain" restaurants up and down I-40. It was remodeled 2-3 years ago and looks great. My family eats there often for lunch and dinner.

Service was slow. Food came out cold. Tasted stale. Restaurant was dirty. Asked for sweet tea, was served non sweet 2 times. By the time I got the right drink I was finished with my cold meal. Will not return.

I wrote a fantastic review last December, and something has changed, because our experience and my rating NOW is Poor. We stopped here on a Friday night and it was busy, but this does not justify the Poor service and food. My steak was below...More

This was a great meal with a real friendly staff. I recommend this stop if you live in Amarillo or are just passing through.

My wife dragged me to this place for some "Real" Texas food, I complied. Our food was very satisfying and the service was great. What won me over were the Texas beers on the menu. I got very tipsy on a local IPA that went...More

I had heard from locals this was a great place to try a locally genuine Texas steak. I was somewhat disappointed when I tried it. We got the coffee steaks. Mine was way too peppery so much it overwhelmed the taste of the whole meal....More

Description
Hoffbrau Steaks was Voted "one of Dallas' Best Chicken Fried Steak" by D Magazine. Family owned steak house, rustic and casual with a unique Texas atmosphere bordering Fort Worth and the famous Stockyards area. We now proudly serve Premium Black Angus beef, and a wide-ranging menu of chicken, ribs, seafood, salads and burgers. We keep it Salt & Pepper Simple and make everything from scratch with love. Daily lunch specials are delicious and affordable. Large TV's are perfect for watching sports. Come sample our extensive list of local, national and international beers. We love to cater weddings, birthdays and office parties. Let us help you plan your perfect event in our "No Bull" party room. Nestled around the fireplace you'll feel warm and welcome from your first bite. Our party room can seat up to 50 but can also be perfect for 12. Happy Hour is from 4PM to 7PM on Monday through Friday.

Early to-mid 1800's German settlers, who helped develop the Hill Country of South Texas, also recreated their beloved "hoffbraus"or "beer gardens" where local townspeople, farmers and ranchers gathered to enjoy hearty meals and brewed beverages in a setting that was naturally casual yet humming with conversations and warm friendly service. What began as a "Hoffbrau" in South Texas truly was the origin of the Texas Hill Country Steakhouse... A tradition that our family has continued since opening Hoffbrau Steaks in 1978. Enjoy yourselves, our Texas hospitality... The great steaks and foods for which we are known. Many thanks, The Fogiel Family
