Dropped by La Casita at about 5pm on a Tuesday when many places in Alpine seemed closed. The restaurant is quite basic but the menu has a good selection including some vegetarian choices. On arrival we had a bowl of nachos and some salsa brought to the table. My wife and I had quesadillas which arrived soon after ordering. We... More

The hubs and I were visiting Fort Davis and decided to drive into Alpine for dinner. After searching for restaurants on Trip Advisor we found La Casita. What an awesome stroke of good luck!! Small restaurant but could still probably seat 40-50 people. Food was awesome and pretty extensive menu. Hubs ordered the taco salad and I ordered the chicken... More

Food is pretty good for way out west texas in a tiny little town. Cash only. Pay at the bar. Beer only. No liquor. Good chips. Homemade salsa. Enchiladas are good. Quesadillas are good. Guac is creamy and not traditional, buy good. Nachos are good too. Tiny little hole in the wall place behind sul ross university football field.

A little pricey for the area, but good family dining. Hard to find as no sign at location telling you what it is.

The food is always great. I recommend the soft taco plate! Cash only! The portions are extremely generous and everything tastes homemade.

One of my favorite places in Alpine. Very casual. Had chile con queso and the beef enchilada dinner, friends had mexican plate and green chile chicken enchilada plate. We all enjoyed our dinners. They do have beer available. Good portions. Good prices.

Arrived before noon and the place was already nearly full. The servers were pleasant and efficient, keeping the tables clean and turning over. And that means the kitchen was running well, too. The beef quesadilla was seasoned exceptionally well. The deluxe nachos were more "Tex" than "Mex" in terms of flavor. The portions were generous, and the Tecate came in... More

After trying to get there after a few setbacks, we finally made it and was disappointed in the fact that they only took cash, so did not get to eat since we do not usually travel with cash. I heard the locals really like it so hope I can one day visit again.

Wife and I ate here due to recommendations from TA and the reviews were straight on. Great food! A little hard to find, but well worth it. Located in a residential area. Definitely where the locals eat. I think we were the only tourists in the place.
