WOW isn't enough. I'm not a fan of non fried chicken or family style, but this worked. Simple, FAST, and AMAZING. The non fried chicken was huge, sweet and tender, full of flavor. The sides were plentiful and tasty, which they had okra though. The...cobbler wasn't overly sweet. SO NICE with homemade whipped cream. We are stopping on our way home, it was sooo good. Staff was funky, friendly, and warm. So nice too that their county COVID mandates, listed at the door, are a bit more relaxed.More

This place is a one-of-a-kind, t-shirt and cutoff friendly, “rustic” to the max family-style restaurant with top notch food like Grandma made. We had their succulent fried chicken but you could choose other meats; the sides were included and very tasty. You can ask for...more food to be brought but you likely won’t need to as the portions are huge! Wear stretchy pants and settle in for the experience!More

The fried chicken was excellent! The sides were good and the rolls were fresh out of the over. The server delivered excellent service. Best fried chicken in the area!

No employee, even cashier had no mask. The restaurant was crowded and people in waiting area were not social distancing. The fried chicken is delicious ,but the corn was awful and beans needed seasoning.

This restaurant is very highly rated. I found it crowded, servers too busy to be attentive, very average food and not up to par with it’s sisters, Babes. They give you generous amounts but, with exception of the whipped potatoes, very average. You always feel...rushed. Everything served home style to make it seem more tasty.More

Where to start; our waitress Jessica was absolutely the Best. Helped us with ordering & was very helpful, polite & courteous. I had the fried Chicken & ex had the chicken & dumplings. Food was excellent & plentiful. Jessica was there with refills on our...drinks & was the greastest. She deserves a raise. Next time in Abilene i will go back.More

Passing through from Lubbock to Waco we had to stop at the #1 spot in Abilene. The location is a bit discrete and may not stand out as the go to restaurant, but it definitely is. Delicious, plentiful, southern food with great service. First you...get super soft, moist, amazing rolls served with sweetened butter. The sides/fixins/trimmings are planned for you, serving the table an unlimited amount of green beans, creamed/crushed corn, and mashed potatoes with gravy. The green beans are super soft and flavorful as you'd expect a southern greens dish to be. Mashed potatoes super creamy, and the gravy perfect. But the corn, oh man.. I could eat a whole meal of just that. All you need to do is pick the entree or entrees you want to eat. My wife and I did a dinner portion of their chicken fried steak. I liked that the batter was light, flakey and crispy. Not thick and greasy like you can get at other places. With all the sides it was plenty of food for us. For the kids we got the roasted chicken which was moist and the skin was so flavorful. Service was awesome! You can only take home the entrees, so enjoy the sides while you are there. Definitely worth the stop!More

My wife and I just love this place and drive up from San Angelo every couple of months simply to eat at Belles. It beats me why it’s taken so long for me to write a review in here for them! We like the plain...settings (nothing fancy), we like the background music (usually older CW), every server we’ve had has been very friendly and helpful, and the food is great. The chicken is brined and fried to a nice crunch and the Fixin’s are family pass around. I’m glad to see that Belles is ahead of the fancier Beehive and I hope it continues to hold the number one spot...it deserves it!More

From the friendly greeting to the final "Thank you for coming, " it was a great evening. Family style dining where you choose your meat (fried chicken, not fried chicken, chicken tenders, chicken fried steak or catfish) and get mashed potatoes, gravy, corn and green...beans as sides. Of course, accompanied by fluffy yeast rolls. The food was all very good - down home fresh goodness. The service was friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was comfortable and fun - complete with live entertainment; the waitstaff treating us to "YMCA" 😁👌😁 Definitely recommend - will definitely return!More
