El Sazon has been around a while and many would claim it as their favorite Mexican restaurant. We recently went to El Sazon with some friends who held that opinion. Having lived for 13 years in New Mexico, my wife and I have different standards for what qualifies as good Mexican food. The food at El Sazon is not bad,... More

I came here with a 3 people, and our server was Tasha. Terrible service!! We waited 10 minutes to even get greeted then waited 15 minutes for our margaritas. We asked for waters and never got them. Then sat empty for drinks because we never saw her again. So I went inside and she was posted up at the side... More

Got a steak (Steak Mexicano) to go--This was the worst "steak" I've ever eaten--All grizzle--unbelievable grizzle! and bone-- tasteless! If I dined in, would send it back--but as "to-go," who has the energy to drive back?! Maybe that's why they served me this stinky meat. Rather than grilled peppers & onions on top--it was big time onions & onions--no peppers... More

We've tried them all, and Blount County is blessed with great Mexican restaurants. None beat this one, plus this place is large enough to get you seated and served quickly. Try the Pollo a la Parilla.

Typical Mexican fare with an atmosphere significantly above that of the surrounding fast food restaurants. Food was good, as was the service. And the "top-shelf" margarita may not have had top-shelf tequila, but it was tastier than the pre-mixed margaritas often found.

This is one of the two best Mexican restaurants in the Maryville/Alcoa area. When I'm in the mood for a really good steak fajita nacho plate, this is my go to place. Service is usually very good. They have a nice patio with ceiling fans if you enjoy dining outdoors. And the food is pretty authentic. I've been here numerous... More

Not a single bright spot here. The service was dismal, the food was similar to a frozen Mexican dinner. It was just a complete no for both of us and we won't be back.

My family recently ate at El Sazon. Unlike most of the post I have read out service was great. The salsa, cheese dip and chips were also very good. The tacos and burritos were okay but personally I prefer La Carreta in Weber City, VA.

Consistently great fajita quesadillas here. Try the shredded chicken, it was surprisingly good and not something I would normally order based on experiences elsewhere. I have never been served disappointing food here.

My fiance and I frequent this restaurant several times a month. I come from a family of traditional Mexican cuisine and believe me when I tell you, this is as close as you'll get to it. Staff is great, they're fast, excellent prices on drinks, specials for kids, magic, etc... I could go on and on. By far my favorite place... More
