The shrimp in our Low Country Boil was not fresh, as it tore apart as we tried to peel it, revealing that it had not been deveined. We were unable to eat it.

Simply put the service is the worst I've seen! I call to order blue crabs and some young man doesn't want to be bothered with checking on availability. He said he just arrived and there is a waiting list and he's not sure if they...have any or not. Well... Do I need to ask you to check over and over? I finally just gave up! This is the sort of thing that will drive an organization out of business. I've had my own business for over 25 years and know first hand. I'll get my seafood some place else!More

Located in the heart of Aiken, JC’s Seafood prides themselves on providing a variety of the freshest seafood possible while keeping the cost affordable. You create and order your Low Country Boil to include the shrimp or shellfish that you prefer. Whether you decide to...include coastal shrimp, snow crab legs, sea scallops, blue crab, or clams, they have a selection that everyone will enjoy. If you just drive on by and miss the opportunity to get fresh seafood you really are missing out! They offer takeout and are wheelchair accessible. They accept American Express, Visa, and Mastercard. Don't miss out stop on in and get some great food! We will definitely be dropping by again for some blue crab!More

I was excited to order a Low Country Boil from JC’s. Sadly our experience was not up to par. We ordered low country boil for 2-4 people and an individual order, to which the spice level was totally wrong, we ordered it with clams as...you can see from the picture 1/2 dozen of the clams were not open, finally the food was cold. We called the establishment and the gentlemen was incredibly rude and offered no resolution to this and even told me that he checked all the clams and seafood on each other as they’ve had this issue before! (Not believable) I wouldn’t recommend this place, plenty more respectable similar restaurants locally.More

Stopped by here when we were staying in Aiken one night, we were looking for seafood in a casual setting and this place delivered both well. The boil was good and even better was you could totally customize, you could add 2 pieces of shrimp...or 20 pcs of shrimp, crab legs whatever, they just charge for the adds by the pound. You order at the counter and pick it up when it is ready. We ate in the covered picnic area as we were staying in a hotel but there were lot's of locals stopping to pick up to go orders which was a good sign.More

This is not fine dining, but fun. If you eat in the adjacent dinning hall, It's picnic tables and chairs and you carry your food over. Limited beer and wine, but enough. My wife and I usually do carry out on the Low Country Broil,...but I have had several get togethers of 6 to 8, where we ordered and then used the dining hall. for those traveling they do small custom Low Country Broil and can adjust from individual to many. The owner and staff are excellent and will try and help you any way they can.More

Last weekend my wife and I attended a charity fundraiser oyster roast that was catered by J C's seafood. We have been to many oyster roasts (it is one of our favorite ways to dine out) and we agreed that the oysters provided by J...C's were EXCELLENT! They were CLEAN. They were cooked just right - hot and juicy, not underdone or overdone, just right! Also they were quality oysters - large individual selects - nice and meaty! Also his staff was tremendous! He employed several culinary arts students that delivered the oysters, brought fresh towels (without being asked), refreshed the hot sauce (also without being asked), cleaned the tables as needed, and just took really good care of us. They were courteous and professional, and we were impressed enough to ask about them, find out who they were. They were a wonderful group of young people and they should be proud of the job they did! And we think it is a real win - win that John and Chris are mentoring and teaching these youngsters the practicalities of the restaurant business. Oyster season is almost over (sigh). We are hoping we can get one more in before the season ends. We will be checking with John and Chris to see where they are going next! Great job y’all! And by the way, we have been buying seafood from their shop since they first opened many years ago. The food is ALWAYS fresh, they and their staff are always helpful, and we are always satisfied. They even swap recipes with us!More

My daughter is learning how to drive and we were looking for a destination and ran across JC's. It was Great. A little confusing since there are 2 buildings but we quickly figured it out. With the beach decor Jimmy Buffett playing we felt like...we were at the beach. Then there's the food. My wife and I got the Lowcountry Boil with shrimp, Awesome!!! My daughter got a lb of muscles and she devoured them saying they were the best she had. That's a high compliment from this foodie. She then proceeded to attack our food. We all left with happy and full bellies. We'll be back.More

While on a photo shoot adventure we checked out google for local restaurants in Aiken. Of course working in the seafood business for more than 40 years we always check for seafood restaurants. JC’s came up and we decided to give it a try. I...must say it is a bit different from most restaurants with ordering from one building and eating in another but the food was awesome!! We had the Low Country Boil. We had Shrimp, Crab Legs, Sausage, Corn and Potatoes. I am not a low LCB person as my husband is but this was awesome! It is a family owned business and very casual. You can eat there or take it out. Nothing is fried. So if you like seafood and are in Aiken give JC’s a try.More
