We’re originally from the north-east and are cold water fish lovers. We’ve never had swordfish as great as this was. A huge steak and perfectly cooked- juicy and flavorful. Appetizers were as delicious- steamed clams for him and shrimps for me. And the wine selections...were very ample and nicely priced. We would make two suggestions. The room is very noisy and not every table was even occupied. If they covered the wall, opposite the wine wall, with cork, it would cushion the noise factor and compliment the room decor. The second suggestion is their website. You can view the menu from it, but you’re not seeing the menu for today. I was so psyched to select a dish from the web, but it wasn’t on today’s menu. It should be updated or taken down. Very confusing.More

We went here for a drink, cancelled our dinner reservation and stayed here. It was that good. Service was perfect. The wine list was extensive. The food was fresh and exceptional. The arctic char paired very nicely with the Billecart Salmon champagne. It would be...nice if they opened earlier than 5 o'clock for dinner/late lunch and posted a more updated menu on the website.More

First of all, the owners of this place, Stephanie and Lou, are two of the nicest/coolest people you will ever meet. Secondly, the food coming out of their kitchen is fantastic. We were all over South Carolina on our recent visit; Myrtle Beach, Charleston, Columbia,...and the food here was the best we had on the entire trip. It was phenomenal. Great wine list, too. Our server, Beverly, was awesome, super fun and really helpful. The sommelier, Christine, was amazing also. There is a really great vibe at this restaurant. Cool people, lots of locals, super friendly staff and ownership, incredible food, and it's downtown Aiken with lots of off-street parking. Many things to choose from off of their menu and obviously an excellent wine list. Go here, you will not be disappointed. Very fair prices for the quality of the food and service. A+More

I really felt I had to go online and review Sol Vino after eating there last night. I was so surprised to see negative reviews about this great restaurant. We have eaten there many times now and I really am hard pressed to come up...with something negative about this place. Yes it is a small restaurant which means when it is crowded you sometimes wait a little bit for your food. You aren't at a fast food restaurant. The wait staff and the sommelier are excellent. I highly recommend doing a flight of wines and letting the sommelier choose for you. She is always right on with what she chooses. The owner comes over to our table every time we eat there to make sure everything is okay. Last night we had the Mixed Grill which is beef tenderloin, shrimp and a piece of wonderful homemade sausage. I highly recommend this. However, we enjoy almost everything on the menu. The pork chop is a great choice as well. If you are really hungry be sure to order the charcuterie board. It is beautiful and a yummy start to the meal. It is one of our favorite places in Aiken. I really want to say so eat fast food if that is what you are looking for. Sol Vino is a whole dining experience!More

Solo Vino has an amazing wine list, but they have consistently awesome food on the menu as well. The wait staff are all super friendly and knowledgeable. They never steer you wrong on the wine selection, and their soups are not to be missed as...a starter. The portions are large, and the ambience is very nice for a date night. Call ahead for a reservation as the place is small.More

If you have not tried Solo Vino you are truly missing out. The owner/chef is a true professional. Not only is the food wonderful the presentation of our dinner was almost a piece of art. I would suggest you split a salad as they are...large. A great wine selection and reasonably priced. You need to make a reservation or be ready to be disappointed.More

We had dinner last night with two other couples and had a fantastic experience. Wine was very good as well as their selection. They also had an extensive craft been menu. No cocktails. Servers were spot on and really good. Food was terrific. I had...the mixed grill and my wife had the salmon. Both had a vegetable with the main. Quaint, menu has new additions daily and very well worth the visit. We will be back.More
