Pleased as punch with lunch at the Knick. They have the best beer selection in the area. The Waitstaff is pleasant and efficient. Lunch was good for bar food. Id go back again.

What a fun place to visit.....ate in the outdoor courtyard....Brittany was our server and she was amazing! I loved the Knickerbocker Wings....others had Brie and avocado sandwich, Cobb salad, fish and chips and philly cheese steak...everyone said their meals were "excellent".....a great place to eat in Altoona!!!

The small group I was assembled with had a back room private party. The appetizer I ordered tasted good but the ranch dressing was apparently spoiled. Within three hours of eating my appetizer I started to get incredibly ill. I called and spoke with the manager and all he did was apologize, saying that he was sorry that happened. As... More

Good news beer selection is great Bad news is you can not read the extremely FINE print on beer menu, also the light at the bar are so dimmed you need night vision goggles to read anything, dont bother ask Becca for more light, "she gets better tips when lights are down" Last and more important SMOKING on patio is... Waited 10 min. before waitress came. Ordered drinks and food. Took 10 min. to get drinks and 40 min to get food. Mind that this was for 3 people on a Sunday evening around 7pm. The food was terrible. Where to start? Well we ordered appetizers that came out with the main mean 40 minutes later. The standard cheese burger... More

Our group of 9 really enjoyed happy hour/dinner on the cool patio here. It was crowded for a Monday evening, so we were glad to have made reservations. The steak salad was as promised in other reviews... actually one of the best I've had. When ordering medium rare - you get medium rare. Tasty! Salmon salad the same - perfectly... More

This may look like any old neighborhood bar when you first walk in, but keep walking back and left and out the door into a private courtyard surrounded by old brick buildings, decked out in strings of white lights and umbrellas that will keep off the hot sun or a sprinkle. On this, our first visit, our friend recommended the... More

Seriously - the steak salads are fantastic. Soooo good. Love this place. Sitting out on the patio is truly lovely. Lots of unique and interesting beer selections.

Went for drinks and light dinner with husband, waited 30 minutes for waitress to come to table for drink order then 20 more for beer to be served. Ordered appetizers and dinner then - waited 30 minutes. All of the food was served at once - dinner was cold. The waitress never returned - we weren't offered a second beer,... More
