I have been going to this place for over 30 years. Best ice cream ever! I love the chocolate milkshakes. I take my so down to the creek behind and he feeds the ducks. It's a great place! Super friendly staff! Small menu but worth the stop!!

Drove a far distance to taste what has been described to me as "The best ice cream I will ever taste." The ice cream was good, but not extraordinary. I have had better ice cream at other places. We tried to eat our ice cream at the picnic tables, but bumble bees kept swarming us. We had to finish our... More

We stopped here upon recommendation from several people while spending the weekend in Adamstown. The line was long, but the good service kept it moving quickly. We didn't find the ice cream to be anything special. The selection (maybe about 30 flavors) was pretty standard, and the taste was fairly typical. Not sure what all the hype is about.

GGreat hot dogs, hamburgers, fries and the best homemade ice cream. Rustic roadside service set along a duck inhabitated stream with plenty of picnic tables. Perfect for a family outing! The only negative is that it is seasonal and closes around Labor Day and re-opens in the spring. Also, no indoor seating, hence the spring & summer hours only.

This place is only opened in the summer and is always busy, but it is worth the wait for the ice cream. Lots of flavors, creamy, and yum!

Almost a throwback to the "good old days" - Boehringer's is always good clean family fun with great ice cream to boot! Always good, almost always crowded, always with it!

Family-owned; It's been there nestled against the creek filled with wild ducks and overhead old shade protecting the many picnic tables from the hot sun for about 60 years; passed down through same-family generations with the same menu pleasing locals from miles around with original recipes for (my favorite) barbecued ground beef seasoned to perfection with a closely-guarded herbal recipe... This place is really hit or miss. I've been here several times and it is really lacking consistency. I always go during happy hour. My first trip here was great. We ordered wings, clams, a cheesesteak and fries. The wing were good, clams were amazing, fries were good and cheesesteak sucked. I ordered the fries with bacon, jalapeño, and cheese.... More

Boehringer's is a regional institution. It is open only during the warmer months and is on PA272, which for many years was US222. There is SLIGHTLY less thru traffic passing by due to the 4-lane highway that now serves the Reading-Lancaster route, but Boehringer's is always worth a stop. Burgers, fries, MILKSHAKES(!!!) are the key items. All prepared with love... More
