We were pleasantly surprised by Larks when we recently went there for a pre-theatre dinner. The food is superb and imaginative. Good combinations of flavor. The pot roast was the only disappointment among the four dinners. It was good, but nothing special. The pork chop was great and the two fish dishes one petrale sole and the other halibut, both... Have eaten here several times and quality is consistently high. Service excellent, atmosphere pleasant and relaxed. Food interesting, delicious, and adequate portions. Great for special occasions. Well worth the price.

We went in for a light dinner at 6pm before going to see Great Expectations at the Shakespeare Festival on Friday night. No reservations. The restaurant was very busy. We were seated within 5 minutes. We ordered a pear salad and an heirloom tomato salad and fried green tomatoes and 2 .

Ashland is a casual place, and this restaurant fits right in. But make no mistake - it's pretty upscale. A very satisfactory pre-theater dinner served promptly by a pleasant and efficient waiter. The fish was delicious (grilled ono with rice), and so was a huge ribeye steak. We shouldn't have splurged on dessert too, but we did enjoy the pear... More

We treated ourselves to a Bloody Mary (hand made by our server, Justin) with our lunch before the play. Great spinach salad and an arugula, tomato and bacon sandwich.

I live in Portland and work in Medford monthly, and until recently have dreaded my dinners on the road. Not anymore! I actually wish this place were in my neighborhood. The menus change seasonally, and I've been very pleased with everything I've ordered. Can't wait to go again. You can get a menu sampling at the innatthecommons.com website.

I want to be fair since I am not a critic and I don’t think I am one. I am giving you my simple opinion. We decide to visit this restaurant since we stayed at a sister property that gave us a small gift card. We took the bait. First, the location is lovely. It is in the historic Ashland... More

Dinner at 6 before an 8pm play. Nice waiter but our first course arrived before the drinks we'd ordered. However that first course, fried green tomatoes with Horseradish aioli was excellent. The crispy breading on the tomatoes was just right, certainly not too heavy & had a hint of spice. Main course- my husband said his Char was the best... More

This is the second year we have had lunch at Lark's. It is conveniently downtown, the service is great and the food is delicious. The price is a bit high if one is rushing to get to an evening show, so we pick lunch as a time for a restful meal.

LARKS HOME KITCHEN CUISINE celebrates Oregon - its farms, orchards, creameries and wineries - offering dishes that excite and surprise with freshness and flavors. We are passionately committed to offering the most fresh & local ingredients possible. Larks celebrates Oregon's bounty by creating innovative cuisine from scratch, offering a unique dining experience. Our restaurant Executive chef, Damon Jones, is a master in showcasing opulent seasonal ingredients delivered daily from local farms, delighting visitors with the flavors of this amazing region. Larks' kitchen is full of many talented people including two Sous Chefs - Franco Console and Robert Wilson - Pastry Chef Terra Sharp, and many other 'food artists' whose creativity and attention to quality is expressed in every daily special. Dishes like steak, hearty soups, flavorful salads and grilled Northwest steelhead are the most popular. Other specialties include pork chops and apple and caramelized onion fondue. Ingredients like truffle oil, wild mushrooms, hazelnuts, pears, and marionberries layer in the Oregon flavor. Our Pastry Chef's creations depend on what is available that season and include fruit tarts, chocolate cake with housemade salted caramel ice cream, or cranberry-pumpkin bread pudding. Our beverage selection extends the theme of local and seasonal with a choice of herb-infused cocktails made with Oregon spirits, local wines, and beers. Larks' downtown Ashland, Oregon restaurant creates a connection between restaurant guests and our local farmers, ranchers, distillers, and winemakers. Come on in for a taste of local flavor.
